Quote of the day: "However there is a long way to go in the championship and I intend to win it".
Does this guy ever learn? He's been lapped in a Mclaren, he fumbled his start, I'm sure that he's lost some friends on the track due to his angry gesticulations towards them, he comes in in 13th place behind Fissicchell in a Forc India car, and still he does not feel humiliated, humbled or subdued in the slightest.
".....I intend to win it". Jesus, he's been humbled and in a fast McLaren to boot, not in one race but in the last two, and yet......

Alonso: Renault only eighth-quickest car…
1 agrees.
2 disagree.
Tealeaf, I agree with everything that you said above, but Felipe's contract runs up to the end of 2010 with Ferrari and Kimi is unpredictable on what his plans are after this season, or so is being touted about. If Fernando went with Ferrari last year instead of to Mclaren, they would have been unbeatable, but sometimes drivers make bad decisions. Snoopy, its been known since Fernando made the move to Renault that this was only going to be a transition year for him in search of better things. He will not stay couped up at Renault if they do not provide a winning package. That is why I said that the BMW or Toyota deals might have been better for him, but there was no extit clause.

Ah well!! lack of engine speed, lack of engine torque, and a bad aero package compared to F, McL, BMW, T, W and H. Where does that actually leave Renault and Fernando this season? Improving the whole package to gain one second is impossible unless a complete rethink of the design is undertaken, and that is an insurmountable mountain at the moment. I think that the Regie'' are faced to race with a dog and they have to lump it for the rest of the season. Tough luck Fernando. The BMW and Toyota offers might have been more suitable for him but I think that he was dreaming about a more lucrative vacancy at Ferrari for next year, which will only be a dream if Felipe wins the WDC.

Stoddart: A**hole must go for sake of sport.

Any person holding an electable position of responsibilty wether in National politics or other high worth and far ranging organizations such as the FIA, surely must be overstaying their welcome after 8 years at the helm let alone 15. Such persons tend to take everything and everyone for granted and start not only being inefficient and make grave mistakes in their missions but also tend to become happy go lucky with their private affairs. Max Mosley has certainly reached this state of affairs and must relinquish his position without delay.

Fifth on tough day puts Heikki level with Lewis.

Quote of the day: "I have total commitment to the team and a good car, and I know we will keep working hard to improve for the start of the European races"- Heiki Kovalainen. A great contrast to the ".......I intend to win it" of his teammate as if no other driver exist. Some said that LH might be faster than Heiki, but then again it was Heiki who recorded two fastest laps in two of the first three races, and also seem to be the more consistent although he has not won a race as yet. He''s on level points with Lewis and Kubica at 14 each. Good going without pretensions.

Ferraris were not fighting.

There's no doubt that as far as strategy is concerned Ferrari are light years ahead of McLaren. We saw last year in the final race how Massa gave way to Kimi to pass him when he was exiting the pit lane, thus giving a win to his teammate and of course the WDC. The CC was a foregone conclusion. The Bahrain race was a classic, where the driver who wins the first corner keeps the lead unless something untoward happens during the race. Luckily both Ferraris' overtook Kubica and controlled the race throughout albeit on used engines. Teams are more interested in the CC but of course the WDC is a great motivator to all drivers, therefore teams work out strategy to their best advantage.

STOP PRESS: Massa wins in Bahrain.
3 agree.
2 disagree.
As I said before, the man found himself from 3rd on the grid to 11th at the start. He paniced and lost it completely. Not only crashing in blind anger into Fernando but also gesticulating with his fist at every driver afterwards from 18th to 13th place. This is not the end of it, we shall hear more about his antics during the course of the coming three weeks. The man is a bad loser. The lesser his fans speculate the better even for his spoilt brat image. He is just another driver in a Mclaren, there have been many like him in the past. What about the crash between Coulthard and Button? Don't you think it was more spectacular? Or have these two stopped being British anymore??????

Mosley 'has signed his own death warrant'.
11 agree.
1 disagrees.
When one comes from a country where the media especially the tabloids are whiter than white, and who have a habit of harrassing public persons even when knowing that a fatal accident might happen because of their persistence, and above all the country expects him to live in a moral high ground, then that person has to abide by the rules of integrity, honesty and good example. Max Mosley has failed himself, his family, his closest associates and above all the FIA for which he is its President. There is no doubt that the 222 national members of the FIA have different values to those of MM, and will oust him out at the next general assembly. Anything less will be a farce.

STOP PRESS: Massa wins in Bahrain.

Sometimes I do not understand seasoned posters on this forum coming out with so much BS to excuse LH. The ITV commentators are absolutely not better. LH went from 3rd on the grid to 11th at the start, he found himself behind FA. He crashed straight in on the right rear wheel of Fernando when FA was on his racing line. LH was in a panic and he did'nt know what to do. From 18th place after his pit stop he could not overtake even Sato at one point, and he was gesticulating with his fist to every driver that he overtook. If one followed any other TV station after the race the commentators were much more critical of Lewis than those on ITV who seem to see nothing wrong with the man.

Pole star Kubica halts Massa's charge.

Hey Borat and Pulenski can you give us a translation in English of what you have said in Polish? I think that there might be more than one Jan Pulenski here, because the above post does not conform to the normal Pulenski broken English norm. Pulenski above own up, you are not the original Polish Jan are you?
