Quote of the day: "However there is a long way to go in the championship and I intend to win it".
Does this guy ever learn? He's been lapped in a Mclaren, he fumbled his start, I'm sure that he's lost some friends on the track due to his angry gesticulations towards them, he comes in in 13th place behind Fissicchell in a Forc India car, and still he does not feel humiliated, humbled or subdued in the slightest.
".....I intend to win it". Jesus, he's been humbled and in a fast McLaren to boot, not in one race but in the last two, and yet......

Brawn: Don't rule out Alonso Ferrari switch.
1 agrees.
Simon, Senna, Prost and Alonso are all multiple World Champions. Ross definetely was not trying to put Lewis in this category. He was only talking about No1 and 2 drivers, and not a free for all of good drivers in the same team. How can a winner of NOTHING be compared with Senna, Prost and Alonso (who dethroned Michael Schumacher), and to an extent with Kimi also. There is no comparison. It is transpiring race by race this season, that Fernando's talent and setup knowledge were a major factor for Lewis' podiums and wins last year. That is what Ross was referring to when he said that Alonso is one of the only two drivers (possibly three) that stand out from the rest. Admit it.

Simon, normally I'm not one to engage in personal arguments, but I think that your three posts above are very silly and do not make much sense. You have not answered any of my questions as you stated. I write long because that's the way I like to write. You seem to read every word I write because you are one of those who always comment on my posts, so someone is actually reading them. If you do not like my comments, no problem, save yourself some time and do not read them and do not try to start stupid arguments. I repeat: WHERE HAS LEWIS BEEN MENTIONED IN THE ARTICLE? ALFONSO did not read the full text, and you are hallucinating about Lewis all the time.

Continued... Simon why is it that you have to bring in Lewis all the time even when the article does not concern him or even when none of the posters here have even mentioned him? Have you got a Lewis phobia or something? I can assure you that he said two or three to simply give an indication that eventually there might be a third driver. At the moment there isn't. I can also assure you that if Ross ever picks Kimi or Fernando, Lewis will not have a chance in hell to be picked, and Ross will not pick Lewis as the lead driver because Honda requires a development driver to further their aims which clearly Lewis is not. See where Mclaren are vis a vee Ferrari and even BMW.

ALFONSO, I suggest that you read the article from start to finish because you have ceratinly made a monkey of yourself this this time. In the last para on Pg.2, Ross said "...... there sre 2 or 3 drivers that are above the level of the rest, and Alonso is one of them". You have already been corrected by Backbeat. Some of us read the whole article and comments before we answer. I suggest that you do the same before you make a fool of yourself. Simon, You have already been corrected and answered by Ghost2912 and by Tealeaf, but tell me where in the article has Ross ever mentioned Lewis? You are only speculating that the third driver might be Lewis. Continued.....

Brawn: Don't rule out Alonso Ferrari switch.
4 disagree.
Barichello at 36 would be retiring shortly from F1 for sure, and although Jenson is only still 28 and has been in F1 for some time has not really been a shining light with any of the teams he raced for. If Ross Brawn's edict from Honda is to make them a winning team in as short a time as possible, then he has to look at the whole picture from design philosophy, development and drivers lineup. Excluding the new drivers, there are drivers who have been in F1 for a long time but will never make it to WDC, to name a few: Coulthard, Fissichella, Heidfeld, Barichello, Button, Trulli. From the rest Ross would only pick Fernando and Kimi, backed by a fast second driver. That's the way it's done.

Ralf registered, I don't think that you can work out in which hole you have to use your toilet paper, but by the way you write and attack others personally I would think that you use it on your face. Can't you post something remotely intelligent for a change? Can't you comment on the topic in hand maybe you will teach us something?

.......Heidfeld or Trulli are WDC material, and McLaren can only dream to get there again after 8 long years if they have a development race driver of the calibre of either Michael ot Fernando, both of whom are definetely not available to them. It seems that Ross Brawn is already working on a winning strategy for Honda for the near future. Good luck to him.

.... he said that Ferrari have not in reality closed the door on Fernando. Brawn goes on to state that at present there are only two or three drivers that stand out from the rest and that Fernando is one of them. Others think that in development, setup and car improvement Fernando is the present number 1 driver, and there is no doubt that Honda will be after him should they start to make headway with their designs. McLaren are now paying for their follies for letting the British media control the teams decisions last year and are now paying the consequencies by being second stringers to Ferrari. BMW and Toyota can only dream of the ultimate success for the moment, neither Kubica.....

After a dodgy start to the season, both Ferrari drivers seem to have now settled down and are doing a reasonably good job with the best car on the grid, tested and developed by Michael Schumacher. McLaren, BMW-Sauber and Toyota are three teams who have sky high budgets but the development of these teams is stunted due to the lack of a top notch development driver. I am not talking here about raw speed, or sheer aggression when racing, but someone that can develop the car race by race to be just that step in fron of the competition. It took 2 years for Ross and Michael to get Ferrari on a winning streak of five WDC's and CC's in a row, so the guy knows what he is talking about when......

Raikkonen win extends championship lead.
1 disagrees.
Exactly correct Ghost2912. During the post race press conference when Lewis was talking his mouth out, Felipe passed a comment to Kimi and both started to laugh. The comment could possible have been a question asking if Lewis was the winner because he was given more airtime by the British interviewer and was left to blabber on and on.
