Quote of the day: "However there is a long way to go in the championship and I intend to win it".
Does this guy ever learn? He's been lapped in a Mclaren, he fumbled his start, I'm sure that he's lost some friends on the track due to his angry gesticulations towards them, he comes in in 13th place behind Fissicchell in a Forc India car, and still he does not feel humiliated, humbled or subdued in the slightest.
".....I intend to win it". Jesus, he's been humbled and in a fast McLaren to boot, not in one race but in the last two, and yet......

Honda unveils new approach.
2 agree.
1 disagrees.
Yes Al, the Honda RA108 as launched is the base car which was designed in October last year before the arrival of Ross. Ross said: "The RA108 is a wholly different concept to its predecessors in terms of aerodynamic layout and mechanical structure. The design philosophy has been developed to allow greater scope for aerodynamic packaging and exploitation, particularly to facilitate the introduction of performance upgrades throughout the season". Meaning: The RA108 in its present state is a barge. Changes envisaged before March are: New engine cover, new floor, new wings, new bargeboards and surrounding area. Meaning: Nearly new aerodynamic design.

Hamilton can eclipse Michael, claims Mosley.
3 agree.
4 disagree.
Sir Jackie Stewart, thinks that Max Mosley is not well enough qualified to lead the governing body of a sport like F1. He said that F1 is a very heavily capital invested sport and that presently the president of the FIA is not paid, and therefore, according to him, he (Mosley) is part time and an amateur. There you have it!!!!

Apolitical Heikki warns Lewis to watch out.
3 agree.
1 disagrees.
Heiki Kovalainen in brief: 2nd place in formula GP2 behind Nico Rosberg in 2005. Test driver for Minardi and Renault in 2006. Raced for Renault in 2007, and garnered 30 points ending 7th overall, 9 points more than teammate Giancarlo Fissichella who only achieved to get 21 points and finishing 8th. So with a like for like car, and racing against a much more experienced driver, Heiki demonstrated that he can keep his end up when it comes to a showdown on equal terms. Just like Lewis, he has come up through the same school, been in F1 for one season, and did his best in a midfield car. There's no denying the fact, that if he's on equal terms with LH, we should see some sparks this season.

Hamilton can eclipse Michael, claims Mosley.

Mclaren have not won anything since 1999, and they had not won a single race with Kimi at the wheel in 2006. They had a good year last year, but that is no guarantee of any future successes. Drivers are only as good as the packages provided by their teams, and their personal ability to drive that package to the ultimate of its potential. Fernando did it in the Renault in 2005 and 2006, and thrashed both McL and Ferrari when these teams had more highly rated drivers in those years. 2007, provided a spectacle with four very fast drivers from just two teams competing for the Championship. Kimi, Lewis, Fernando and Phelipe, all fast, all furious, all very hungry. All potential MS's.

Honda unveils new approach.
1 agrees.

It has been reported that Honda, BMW-Sauber and Williams are all standing back while engineers pour over specs and ideas after just not finding the speed and package they had hoped for after testing their developments. Time is a-ticking. Rubens Barrichello was also very non-committal after testing the RA108 earlier last week, but he did not seem to be overly pleased. So far this pre-season, new ideas and disigns, some modified, some copied and some completely new concept have been introduced by various teams. Wing area modification, antlers and wings, front wheel fairings, etc, have been developed, but that extra mph seem to be forever all elusive.

I fully agree with das945, Joe Powell and Frank G, that crash.net should do something about those contributors who are signing in a name or nickname which has already been used by somebody else. This site consequently is losing the credibility of its forums due to these impostors who in most case do not know anything about F1. Crash.net should make it a rule that anyone posting messages here should be registered and names should not be copied.

Howett: Toyota must work harder - EXCLUSIVE.
1 agrees.
Toyota came into F1 seven years ago to WIN races. With the biggest of annual budgets, this team succeeded to finish races in a lapped position several times last season. I always wondered if HARIKARI is still performed by the Japanese, because if they do not perform this year most top brass in this outfit are certainly on a KAMIKAZI mission. Reno.

Haug: Start to 2008 like a dream.

Hi Norbert, you had it all last year but managed to make an *** of it. You invested in the World Champion but failed to cash in on your investment, prefering to concentrate your efforts on a rookie who would have got his chance after a year or two. You can give equal status to your current drivers because they are totally equal in experience, but you certainly cannot treat the World Champion (who trashed MS for two years running), and a total rookie on the same footing. Sorry but you and RD flopped it all last season.
