Top ten MotoGP stars: Valentino Rossi [1].

Harold. Actually most of us Brits do support JT. We just don't feel the need to shout about it every time we open our mouths (or take to a keyboard). It's something to do with being comfortable with our identity. You wouldn't understand. Remember this thread is about Rossi. JT was rated No7. A fair position and no doubt put there by Brits mostly. No partisan nonsense, just a fair assesment. Geez, thank god for you fair minded Brits what would the world be without you (?? ), Kind regards, ricky

I remember watching a 16mm film in the 70's, of the black day Jarno was taken. The tracks in those days were very dangerous, the bikes and tires basic compared to now. They were good days of racing, maybe the golden days, but such a cost. Many people from the club level to GP were maimed and killed every week at organized race meetings. The local tack here was mostly surrounded by concrete walls, no airbags, tires. It was like that at most places. very sad. Kind regards, ricky

Not so long ago the last three Motogp champions were all on the podium together. Whats the problem with that? Ducati made a wise choice. Kind regards ricky

I can't wait to see Nicky ride the ducati next year, I am sure he is a great choice for the team, for Casey too, and that he will be a huge asset and much appreciated. If anyone can ride the ducati anywhere near Casey, Nicky is one of them. Kind regards ricky

Being an aussie...I am a bit sick of all the champion adulation down here. I mean, you have no idea what the Australian Rules Football scene is like, not to mention the cricket the NRL, Soccer and the V8 super cars. But for me Casey is someone special, a real legend and to watch him ride to me he puts every other Australian sports champion in the shade no worries: he's that good, and he always was. kind regards ricky

James at times seemed to be holding everyone up but that's racing, and he got back at Valentino a couple of times. He's had a pretty good first season: he's been unlucky with the tires at a few tracks he could have done well at otherwise. He might get on the podium next year, I hope so. I thought he might this year to be honest, at Donnington and Laguna but it wasn't to be. He was worth a bet though for sure. kind regards ricky

Phillip Island - Race results.

Having seen Valentino bounce down the road more times than I can remember, I didn't like that one yesterday, it looked bad. So his ride was as heroic as Casey's for sure, but I would like to see Valentino pull a shock move and retire this season, he doesn't have to prove anything anymore. Kind regards ricky

*Anyone who writes Valentino off is a fool*, I posted this here after the first 08 race
Congratulations to a great champion: there is no-one like him, the magnificent Valentino Rossi! Kind regards ricky
