BIGSNOOPY, Edwards is using Pedrosa's bike setup and data, that is the only way Edwards could be faster than Rossi. Stoner has been using Dani's setup from the 250cc days, that is why he won the title last year, and Rossi used Dani's data all of his years at the MotoGP (Dani's data from 125 & 250cc), that is why he win more than a few races. I even heard that Leob use Dani's bike setup on his car, that is why Leob is so fast on the tarmac!!!!

Yes, Belly, Honda had TC at 2003. I remember reading Rossi riding the bike, coming to the pits and saying "this is almost not fair, it will be too easy to win". Rossconz, it is the same electronics manufacturer used in Ducati & Yamaha at the MotoGP AND at the Ducati and Yamaha (Italy) in WSBK. So Stoner is not the only one riding Magneto Marelli. Stoner, Rossi (YES, Rossi), Jorge, Elias, Guintoli, Bayliss, Fabrizzio, Biaggi, Xaus, Haga and Corser, ALL use Magneto Marelli electronics. Ahhh, I forgot Melandri.... but he obviously tuned it to max 50HP in the turns..... I'm not sure about Tech 3, I mean if they use Magneto Marelli. I guess so.

Don't know about Bird, but Kawa have been about nothing now for so many years (MotoGP or WSBK). One must look for some old youtube's of Scott Russel to see a Kawa at front!!

But as Sick Cylinder states, I don't think Shackers will have data access to the Xerox bikes during the season. But it doesn't mean his bike will not be heavily supported by Ducati Corse. Ducati for sure should not gamble all their efforts on Haga. But I hope for Haga that having Tardozi and Ernesto will do some miracles with his luck of ability to start the season strong and note fade some times. With Biaggi and Haga on new bikes Shackers and Spies have a very good shoot at the title as rookies. I'm very excited to see what the BMW is like!!

Sick Cylinder, I'm not really agreeing that Bayliss himself demand "weak" team mates. He rode with Ben Bostrom who just "collapsed" for some reason after winning some impressive races. Troy have been with Xaus for 2 years. Troy didn't want Biaggi as a team mate... well who will want Max as a team mate?? I think Troy would not mind too much riding with Haga or Corser. The history in WSBK shows that Ducati supports the satellite teams quite well, much better than the other manufactures. I think Shakers can win the title, and he have most chance to do so next year, due to the fact almost everybody is on a new bike or new to WSBK.

Nice lap times from Shakey and Spies, but one have to remember that that track is so new, every time they go on the track the grip level rises due to more rubber on the new tarmac, one can assume the grip level towards the end of this test was better than at Sunday during the races.

Sick Cylinder, Foggy was a battler, but I can't recall him winning race 2 a Sugo that year. I think he had to stay in front of Slight at race 2 and he managed that. It was 95 when he crashed at race 1 and won race 2!!

Matt, Foggy won his 3rd title (1998) NOT on the official factory Team (Corser & Chili were on those bikes). He rode for Tardozi on a satellite team with strong support from Ducati Corse, well, kind of like the bike/team Shakey is on!! I remember Carl had a slower bike at Monza that year and only the factory bike of Chili kind of managed to stay in touch with the works Honda (750cc RC45). Foggy had only 3-4 wins that year, and it was really Corser who had the title in a bag but crashed in practice at Sugo. Than it was down to the wire between Foggy and Aaron Slight

Some of you are really amazing. Yes Rossi puppets, Rossi deserve the Nr.1 vote this year, but "ignoring" Stoner and picking up names like Edwards? Like Conard who states that Edwards had a fantastic first part of the 2008 season... fantastic? Edwards done nothing this year, at least considering his caliber and experience. Edwards ride too safe and only try to save his leathers. I remember already at the 3-4th race he "didn't want to put a fight with Rossi/Stoner/Jorge because they are title contenders"!! What kind of attitude is that after 3 races? He will never win a MotoGP race. and he can't blame the bike or some magic settings!!

rolly, Bayliss said they chanced some 2-3 points on the setup towards race 2, nothing about super engines or restrictions removals. Troy simply showed everybody that he is the champion and that he his hanging his leathers while he is the absolute best.
