MotoGP » MotoGP and World Superbikes brought together

And for those who believe in Dorna, from superbike planet: 'Another immediately clear result of this seismic announcement is the kneecapping of circuit owners and organizers. No longer can they play World Superbike against MotoGP when negotiating deals with Dorna for MotoGP events. Dorna controls both series, and presumably will set sanctioning fees and negotiate sanctioning agreements for both. If a track doesn't like its proposed MotoGP deal, the option of a cut-rate WSBK contract from a rival promotional group is gone. The biggest fulcrum in global motorcycle racing just moved to Pinar, 7 28006 Madrid, Spain Dorna's global headquarters. The remaining fallout continues to settle. But Dorna may well be the new landlord of global motorcycle racing, and every other entity involved may just be a tenant.' This is better for the sport? People, really?

Dorna has no interest in buiding WSBk brand. Genesis of this company is based on GP, most of the personel are people with GP background, their goal is to develop MGP brand. In current economic climate simultaneous development of both championships does not make sense, because it reduces the potential for both brands - miserly number of sponsors for both championship (especially MGP), divided community of fans, mess with the factory teams Even with more stock tech rules in WSB market is too small for two such big world championship soo Dorna reduce SBk to level of a decade ago - small champs for small teams without factory background, events only in Europe in less important markets (maybe Philip Island or Laguna Seca stay in calendar), television rights and tickets sold in packages with tickets to Moto GP events.

In same way Ecclestone with FIA help kill sportscar Group C, old DTM/ITC, and WRC (in 90' all those champs after getting under control of Bernie were destroyed, because he "save" which needed a big portfolio of sponsors and manufactures), so I know exactly what I'm writing. If by helping you understand the destruction of SBK then you have a problem. FLU is not a cure by giving cyanide.
