F1 » Lauda: I’m not here to run politics…

Mercedes is not the problem. The problem are rules that give us cars which do not run close to the edge, which are not hard to drive, which are ugly and unimpressive, which depend on the engine too much for success. Rules that give us fake DRS overtaking but punish every attempt of a real overtake which sometimes involves a bit of contact. Rules that restrict engines to be run at their max. Aero rules that kill overtaking. A body that requests **** tires from Pirelli to spice up the show.... And on and on and on.

F1 » Renault F1 future to hinge on Mercedes leniency?

These engines and rules are for a large part Renault's idea. Or they would walk away I remember. They signed up for this knowing very well what they requested and what they could expect. Just as Honda did. Now why would Mercedes agree to let Ferrari develop for an extra year to come even closer? They are not worried about Renault and they don't have to be as nothing Renault can do will make them top Ferrari or Mercedes. Mercedes look at Ferrari, who just threw 100 milion extra in the engine this year. I say let Renault go, if RBR wants to follow, let them too. Let F1 implode, let FOM go bankrupt. Get rid of Bernie. And let the FIA build a new series which they control and makes a lot more sense than this current farce what Bernie calls the best racing on the planet. F1 in its current state must die before you can build something new on its ashes.

F1 » Alonso not frustrated, but not happy looking like amateur

If Honda already has to take such fuel saving measures while they are not even at full potential.... Oh boy. They better have some good tricks up their sleeve or they will be ff'ed for years and McLarens as well. 2 retirements, extreme fuel saving and still not competitive. But I am sure management will tell us that podiums and wins are just around the corner. Still no title sponsor, dropping like a stone in the FOM money award rating and Honda clueless where to spend tokens..... Wow.

F1 » What we learned at the Canadian Grand Prix

What I have learned is that apparently Renault will be unable to apply all their tokens to the engine this year and will certainly not meet the deadline for the 2016 tokens in february 2016. Which essentially means that any team with a Renault engine will not have a chance in 2015, 2016 or 2017. Good news for sponsors, engineers and investors..... That is why Mr. Horner is suddenly pushing again to open up development for the whole of 2016.
