Yeah Grumpy doc, lets forget that on race tires Stoner is 1 sec a lap quicker than Rossi.... For 5 laps in a row....

Dani Pedrosa out of US Grand Prix.

It is not "Thank you Dorna for ending the 990 era", it is Thank you HONDA..... Honda were the ones who pushed for the 800 class, all the jap factories agreed, only Ducati wanted to keep the big class alive.... 800cc was so much safer according to Honda. Well, this season is a new record in broken wrists, fingers and ankles. Thank you Honda. Go back to 990.

Stoner 5 or consecutive laps in the mid 1.21''s when everyone else at the same time was one second of his pace...... Amazing.

Laguna Seca - Free practice times (1).
2 agree.
Funny, the Duc electronics brakethrough was not a TC one, but "simple" engine management control, aka injection mapping, also found on any bike with injection..... I doubt if standard ECU is possible, because of the difference in carburettor vs pneumatic vs desmo, forward spinning crankshaft (Kwaki) vs backward spinning crankshaft, variable inlet trumpet differences, airbox pressure differences (whereas F1 has a fixed inlet size), etc, etc

British Grand Prix - Qualifying times.
Piquet finally seems to have found some speed. Fisico seems to have totally lost motivation, like usual halfway the season... Force India.... Are they getting closer to the others or are the others getting worse, or both.... With times this close Fisico should have the experience and drive to use his skills to put the car at least 4 or 5 places higher.

Gibernau 'very fast', but will he race?
1 agrees.
I think the 800 suits Sete's style / capabilities. He was very fast on the NSR500V(2) too, which had to be ridden with more corner speed to keep up with the fours. He has tons of experience. It would not be a stupid move to let him ride this season and if he does well contract him for a factory ride next year too. Some Spanish sponsorship money will start flowing towards Ducati too. And if he equals Stoner? So what? Like Sete isn't or hasn't been front material?

Kovalainen handed penalty.
1 agrees.

Kovi was trying to find a gap for a fast lap. Nakajima was also starting his and clear off Webber behind him, but running into Kovi too. Webber was just finishing his fast lap. For some reason Kovi sat on the racing line, death slow, just before the chicane onto the straight. I was a very strange situation an he cause problems for two other drivers. Nakajima had enough room before this situation occurred.

Donington Park: Qualifying times.

Funny that nobody else can ride the easy electronically controlled Ducati eh Rossi Rules? Of course all the other bikes lack electronics....

Minassian disappointed at missing out.
If you want to reduce the speed of the diesels you can set a maximum turbo pressure I think. But that possibly also improves their mileage.... To ban diesels is not correct. Why do you think that Audi and Peugeot build diesels? Because 50% of the cars they sell are diesels. Diesel is the fuel and engine technology of the future. Endurance racing is the perfect class to develop and showcase the technology.
