F1 » Kate Walker: Nothing is too big to fail

The engines were a mistake, he was right about that. They are incredibly expensive emotionless pieces of engineering that thanks to freezing rules hardly serve any R&D purpose (unlike the output base free to develop cheaper LMP1 engines). Whatever way they will go with F1 these engines are at the base of what is driving teams out of F1. 28-40 million instead of 8 is quite a hike in price. There are not enough high profile sponsors for 12 100 million budget teams.

MotoGP » Deficit to top 'unacceptable' says Redding

It reads like he has come accustomed to the idea that the factory bikes make all the difference and he was at the limit already. Whereas in reality you need the team and the skills to setup the bike perfectly to do what he describes Pedrosa does. That is not HRC cheating, HRC advantage, etc etc, but pure thinking, setting up and execution. So it looks like he knows that now thanks to this test. Needs to go forward now or it will be the next Aoyama.

F1 » Hamilton doesn’t feel comfortable ahead of Abu Dhabi

It says a lot about racing nowadays that when drivers are ordered to flip a switch they don't even know how it will affect their car. Bring the driving back to the basics. Steering wheel, brake balance control, manual gearbox, manual brakes and manual clutch. It is so wrong to see those guys hit a sequence of buttons just to launch the car off the grid and hit the flippers when they hear a beep in there ear.
