F1 » ‘More to come’ from Hamilton

Hamilton is doing well because he is not under any pressure. If he had to start from 2nd to 3d row and fight for positions, it would be 2012 all over again. He is an ego controlled driver. Things go well, ego-boost, high self confidence, success. And the opposite as well. Yeah, he is a good driver when all goes well. But he ain't no Fangio, Lauda, Senna, Schumacher, Prost or even Vettel. He is Hamilton, with weaknesses and strengths, and this is his lucky year and maybe even era.

F1 » Mercedes trials ‘megaphone’ exhaust

The noise factor was just a nail on the coffin of F1. It's not just noise. F1 lost the excitement factor, which is noise, looks, visible technology and a bit of danger. Not that people have to die or whatever, but it would be good to loose a wing or bend a wheel if you run off the track. Some pitstop drama. All that turbo and electric technology, nice, but I cannot see it, not feel it and hardly hear it. And as been said before, hybrid technology is not new or unique to F1. Effin tires that are not made to perform to the max but just to fall apart in a thousand marbles over x number of laps. Fuel rules and energy recovery tech that cause a situation that no spectator can understand strategy or why things happen like they happen. Why are they not trying to overtake? Ooh, he has used only 40% of the fuel but cannot use more than x flow rate and because his aero is crap he still cannot overtake. Who gives a hoot!? And it certainly doesnt help that one team is Mansell/Williams like dominan
