F1 » Mercedes: We didn't test - Pirelli did

So, Mercedes, it would be ok for Ferrari to run 1000km when the test is undertaken by an electronic manufacturer of steering wheel components to check if all systems work fine under all conditions. Or the brake manufacturer runs a 1000km test with Lotus to check how the brakes operate under certain conditions. Or for all I care Red Bull Drinks undertakes the test and hires RBR to check if the system that provides the driver with fluids will work for at least 1000km. Can of worms.

WSBK » WSBK cost-cutting ‘framework’ agreed

SBK racing is in fact in decline commercially. Lacking appeal, lacking spectators, lacking exposure. Grids go down, sponsors leave. Sales of this type of bikes has plummeted. Strange that they want to do something about costs? And more durable engines cost less if you combine it with stock rules for it. Factories will not rise the cost of the over the counter bike because they do not sell at the moment anyway. So they will have to race with a stock engine and rely on parts selection and airflow through the engine (f.e. exhaust) to get maximum reliable power. WSBK wanted to beat 500cc racing so much that they have let it run totally out of control.

F1 » Mercedes 'welcomes' FIA International Tribunal summons

Just read that pitpass legal article. If the interpretation of the rules are correct and the tribunal agrees too..... Than you can run you car as much as you want as long as you don't run the test yourself. So Corsi Clienti could organize a test and use the current team, current car, with its current drivers etc. Red Bull Sport Events could organize any test its wants and hire RB Racing.... If the interpretation of Mercedes is correct than any team can test as much as they want for the rest of the year. Interesting...
