The points were given out on sunday, not today.

If I want to see REAL night racing I will watch Endurance racing like the 24h of Le Mans and the Bol d'Or. That's real racing in the darkness. Not this floodlight like daylight energy waste.

Parki, the bikes Biaggi rode on, where Rossi won the title on, were nowhere near the same. When Rossi went to Yamaha they offered him 16 different chassis-engine configurations. A luxury Biaggi never had. When Biaggi moved to HRC, nobody listened to what he wanted. The HRC engineers just did what they wanted and they still do, you simply have to look at the Dani special from last year and the test-bike with the fooked up clutch that Hayden won the title on. Bayliss compared very favourable to Capirossi, because as soon as he was offered a Ducati 990 works bike in the last GP of 2006 (replacing Gibernau), Bayliss wooped everyone's butt on it and won the race.

If it is simply all down to TC all bikes would be equal and all same brand bikes would have identical lap times. If TC does anything it is that it makes the racing closer. The trick is to ease off TC until you find the right balance between good throttle control and not crashing when you misjudge. Also for people who believe that ABS is the holy braking grail: You have serious brake problems!!! I have yet to find an ABS on a car on a bike that brakes better than I can. In all tests (on police training circuits) I did sofar I won from the ABS. ABS sucks, I hate it.

Yes, what's the point of riding if you can test nothing, make no progress, have enough money to buy ten BMW's with backpocket money and have to ice your hand after every 5 laps.... Keeping the sponsor and the fans happy? At what price?

Saran, if Michelin simply builds a better tire this year it is not Bridgestone who screwed Rossi, but Rossi screwing himself.

I really cannot stand the guy in motorsports. But off the track and off the tele I feel for the whole family. Matters like these suck beyond believe. :( But isn't this a story for the Sun or something like that? The comment about the effect on shares in McLaren is interesting and related, all the other stuff does not belong at motorsport sites. Re: effect on McLaren -> Quite possible that they have a marriage contract where everything is clearly divided? That's what I would do in this business. You do not drag your wife into a bankrupt of your team and your wife cannot hurt the team if her book selling goes wrong.... Pretty normal to do it like that if you have a company here.

While we are at it, slipper clutches also takes from us the rider's ability to control the rear from locking up. Now they just brake and wack it down the gears and let the clutch out, no problem. Even on a stock 2004/2005 spec R6 that is a stupid thing to do (if you have never experienced it, you are either very good or don't do fast downshifts with hard braking).... The 2007 one doesn't do it anymore... Let's ban the slipper clutches too! And launch control! Heck, we saw what happend with mini-P when the system failed last year. He friggin flipped it instantly.

18 riders is way too small a grid!! What is needed is a status quo on the rules for 10 years. Yes, you read that correctly, 10 years. No other engine formula's, now new weight systems, no messing around with fuel capacity. Develop what you got and get the best out of it. Within 2 years everything will be level, development costs can drop and more bikes can be leased to smaller teams. More competition. As a bike owner I do not give a **** about the latest traction control, launch control, weight distributions, pneumatic valves or whatever. Especially pneumatic valves is a huge waste of money. Never will that make its way to a street bike. Can I have 10 liters of fuel and 10psi air please?
