F1 » Raikkonen hopes for ‘welcome surprise’ at Monza

l bet Ferrari would like some return on investment from you Kimi, l think you have been very ordinary this year....maybe my comments are too harsh, but l look at the Button's and KImi's as a businessman,,, do not understand how they justify their incomes!!! .....The teams must have performance clauses in the contracts surely!!.....Drivers like Alonso give 110% from the first GP to the last GP of the season, no matter if the car is crap.........Some of these other highly paid names, drive like they are there for the money..

F1 » Vergne the best to leave Toro Rosso – Tost

Mustafur: I don't get why people say JEV and Ricciardo where close as team mates. Ricciardo out-qualified him 15 to 4 which is basically a destroying, and Ricciardo outscored him 20 to 13. If the car was able to score every round instead of a handful the gap would of been much bigger.
Totally agree , the dan/ jev story was not in the points...there battle was over in Quali, in the race Dan ran out of tyres while Jev had a set left because of his poor quali.....but in reality they were poles apart...Dan flogged jev...that is why he is at Redbull...l think Tosts comments are more of a PR exercise for Jev to help him stay in F1...But the fact is Jev has had 2 team mates in his F! career and has been beaten by both them, to this point....

F1 » Horner: We never thought Ricciardo would be this strong

Firestorm: I doubt anyone thought that Ricciardo would be such strong this year, neither the bosses of RBR/STR nor we fans. He wasn't very special at Toro Rosso, while Vettel impressed everyone when he raced for the junior team. .
Only people who didn't pay attention thought he wasn't special at Toro Rosso. He put that heap of **** midfield car regularly in the top ten in qualifying and in the race. He held off world champions in faster cars to keep points paying positions and if not for a couple of car failures while in the top ten last year, he would if had even more points. Just ask Jenson Button what he thought of Ricciardo when he put that shopping trolley in 6th last year. The kids always been good, I'm just glad people are getting to see how good he can be when given decent equipment.
Yes l remember Frank Tost was one of the very few who said Dan was going to mix it with Seb or words to that effect.

F1 » Ricciardo wins after Mercedes pair clash

Alex4F1: Forget Rosberg the luckiest driver this season has to be Daniel Ricciardo Spain: Vettel broke down in Qualifying Monaco: Vettel broke down and Raikkonen tangled with Maxie Canada: Vettel got stuck behind faster cars and the Merc's lost power Britain: Tyres miraculously held on Hungary: Perfect timing with the Safety car Belgium: Chose dry set up and didn't have to pass Vettel or Alonso plus the Merc tangle He will not be a number 1 driver until he proves he can deal with pressure. He's proven he can race and win but can he do it a straight fight? We have to see
Interesting how luck favours the talented, the focused, the cool is a amazing phenomenon....
