F1 » Ricciardo wins Hungarian thriller

beastinblack: To me, the most satisfying thing about this season is the downfall of Finger Boy. We are still waiting for him to win a car that's not the best, and his young Aussie team mate is embarrassing him. Not simply beaten but SPANKED. I am certainly enjoying it since it showed what many F1 fans have known all along. He was a pretty good driver in a stand out car, that allowed him to win WDCs. Where are those people who claimed that he could 'win' in 'any' car?
l would not write Seb off, he is a superstar...he seems to be coming to terms with the RB in the last few races..

F1 » Ricciardo wins Hungarian thriller

richard: good drive by ricciardo. he earned that win on merit, rather than benefiting from others misfortunes. lulu also drove a good race, even if he was helped by sc and by disobeying team orders. but in his defence, nico was nowhere near enough to demand being let through. and nico was not penalised for pushing bottas off the track. why not? drive of the day was undoubtedly ferdi. vettel made a rare mistake but drove a car with deranged suspension to not lose too many places. but nice to see that merc have been pegged back a bit. three different cars and engines in the first three. maybe the new regs are starting to work?
l am impressed Richard, l think your above comments are fair and well balanced.

F1 » Ricciardo wins Hungarian thriller

Firefly: Good win by Ricciardo but he got extremely lucky with the first SC. That won him the race, good strategy and driving to capitalize on it. This shows to me it's pretty obvious the tire rules are bullshit. Alonso and Rosberg didn't fit the medium tire during the race. Let them race any compound they want at any point in the race.
Dont totally agree with safety car comments, yes got lucky with the first and unlucky with the 2nd had to give a up a nice lead....for someone with lack of f1 front end experience ..his maturity is amazing.....FA is a god....He constantly continues to punch so far above his weight of his machinery in F1.

F1 » What we learned at the German Grand Prix

AyrtonSenna: Didn't learn anything new in terms of result. What we did learn is the rules are good for some but not for others. Also the team to that is coming of age is run by a woman. That woman obviously oozes passion like her daddy always has.
Think she might be more of a figurehead with a surname rather than head also hardly qualified to run a team....think daddy might be still calling the shots..if you look at her bio PR seems to be her field, not a lot on racing development.
