F1 » Magnussen admits F1 future is ‘make-or-break’

SCUDER ...l don't think Frank saw the "kicking" button gave Ralf in his debut year, because he was sacked/let go by Frank at the end of 2000 although Ralf was retained. l assume Frank and Head didn't see much in Button. The whole point of this though, is F1 is a huge step up for any driver in the first year, it would be a shame to see Mag go......a podium in his first year in a mid pack car was huge and deserves another year at least...

F1 » Hamilton 'determined' to join Suzuka elite

richard: paddy. sometimes you make some sense in your posts, but not his time! first of all , vettel did his driving the hard way! and never have i made any claim that any drive was "great". and the bull was never dominant. most cars were very much on a par, not like this year where the merc has no basic competition. and as for vettel being behind his teammate? where have you been? what with dnfs, and mechanical gremlins, he would be well ahead. lulu has not had to work for his position in the wdc this year. if he wins this year, it will not be considered an honourable win, or a win due to ability. it would be an engineered result.
Really Richard, this old song you sing about Seb and his bad luck is so tiring... "Fact" is Dan has out driven, raced, preformed, smiled and PR'ed SEB by a country mile this year...banging about Sebs DNFs gremlins is a feeble defence ....Dan and Seb have both had them, not mention the 18 points lost by no fault of D

F1 » Red Bull's Marko compares Verstappen to Senna

Taipan:
bob jane: Part 2 what made senna,s drive best l have seen...his car was turbo and as a rookie he was beating the field with raw driving talent in a lowly toleman.
He had some good results in the Toleman, 2nd in Monaco and 3rd at Silverstone and Portugal but it's hardly beating the field. Stefan Johansson managed 4th at Monaco that year (in the dry) in the other Toleman so it wasn't a complete pup.
We are talking 84? because Johansson didn't drive in that race????Cecotto drove the other Toleman in Monaco 84' where Senna beat the field in a car that was 2.3 seconds slower to the front row on the dry Sat...." purely out of wet weather racing skill" , l am sure you can find the race on youtube or parts of it.....when senna drove in Monaco the toleman was a not the car it was at the end of 84, he quali 13th and his team mate JC quali 18th.. the" Toleman was a Slug "....

F1 » Red Bull's Marko compares Verstappen to Senna

107SS2009: I do not know if those talking/arguing about the 1984 Monaco GP and Stefan Bellof were actually following F1 30 years ago or are quoting wiki/articles and what not, As one that was not only following F1 at that time but many years before that I remember Stefan Bellof as one of the very fastest drivers but for sure not one of the best, in fact he was much prone to mistakes and big ones at that, (and history does repeat itself, to day we have one of the fastest drivers on the grid but for sure not the best) re the 1984 Monaco GP, there was nothing spectacular at all in Stefan catching Prost and Senna, at that particular race Stefan had a car package advantage (Tyrrell o12 Cosworth DFY V8) without those race conditions and without that particular advantage he had no hope in hell to catch them up let alone pass them.
l agree that was my point about Bellof's car and what made Senna's drive so brilliant!
