Is it not possible that a reduction in the high pressure (inducing a low pressure zone instead) beneath the front end of the car could be a return to a partial ground effect of yesteryear? Certainly you'd think it would contribute to greater front end stability and grip. Perhaps a bit of overtaking?

Everyone want''s to see racism eliminated but doing so is best left to national governments not the FIA. The extent to which it was displayed in Spain and the manner in which it was dealt with suggests the Spanish authorities and the circuit''s management managed the incident really well (notwithstanding the UK press reaction). You have to ask why not be there for it''s launch if you think it''s so important and why make a mountain out of a molehill when it''s all going to be forgotten within a month leaving the real job to those who are in it for the long haul.

Snoopy, Not commenting on the general post but I'd disagree on the prediction bit, purely because I think 2s' is a long time in F1 and if they have the reaction time necessary to drive the car I think they notice the millisecond something's gone wrong. Not a Hamilton fan and if this post was in the period prior to Matt Bishop getting a PR handle on LH I'd have said it was a snow job by MW, intended to achieve the objective of mechanical as opposed to human error. Though on this occasion I'd give him (LH) the benefit of the doubt.

This has nothing to do with morality, hypocrisy or indignation, like McLaren it's getting caught that matters and having enemies. What's irrefutable is he was caught in flagrante delicto and the Photo-Fit of that wrinkly old ass is all the evidence needed. On the LH speeding, Max say's he WOULD have resigned in those circumstances. Best bit for me is the NotW playing Max at his own little game and canvassing the FIA council members with their own HD video copy of the 5-hour session, and refuting his claim. Hopefully it will be played at the meeting, if so, you can bet your sweet bippy Max's face will be as redder then his ass at the Chelsea session. Couldn't happen to a nicer person?

I'd agree with Andy's last post on the public interest point. Privacy is one thing, but being open to coercion or blackmail because of one activities (Nazi connotations or not) make it in the public interest to expose anything that makes Mosley (in this instance) vulnerable. Interesting to note a speeding ticket could have triggered his resignation but not having his wrinkly old ass exposed to the world in the company of £2,500 worth of hookers! Poor judgement and untenable position professionally. Quite separate, but relevant to whether Mosley should stay or go, the article on SportsPro, "The guile of President Mosley" makes interesting reading.

Robsy, Mosley has 'previous' in his machiavellian manipulation of the FIA to secure his power-base and isolate dissent. Although challenged before has with the co-operation of Ecclestone emerged stronger, his problem is now there is a concerted effort by some of the many enemies made over the years who smell blood and have long memories. I suspect they're happy to shoot the messenger at this stage and sort out the weakened puppet-master later!

Come on Flavio, it's at times like this that solidarity is called for. While nobody in their wildest dreams would expect Ferrari to rock the FIA boat (after all they fund it). Renault or you have nothing to lose, indeed with your BE connections we might be seeing the banner at Bahrain "Flav for President" (ahhh, but MM has the same connections doesn't he!). Just a thought, if MM gets the sack will he have to return the £150m Bernie gave him as a gift? What a tangled web F1 is!

Mosley is beginning to remind me of Jonathan Aitken's "simple sword of truth" (or should that be Damocles) protestations, (apologies to those who may never have heard of Aitken's). Pity for us he's still listening the the terrible twins (Wood's and Pernell) and may be around for as long as it takes to arrange a meeting of the WMSC, hopefully they'll have the ba**'s and take a lead from the manufactures and get rid of him!

Calvin, it seems as if the teams have discovered they have ba**'s after all, you never know if they do decide to put their heads above the parapet (without the immediacy of ducking which the FIA relies upon) then not only Mosley but Ecclestone, Woods and Purnell may get the boot. It seems that round two may have gone to McLaren and Matt Bishop!!

Calvin, Melbourne were reported as dictating to the FIA that Mosley would not be acceptable as a repsentitive of the FIA in forthcoming discussions to be held there, also Bahrain were reported as telling BE that Moseley wouldn't be welcome this weekend. So there's a precedent (as there is in industry where you work around people whose authority is eroded)! Leave him in a corner to twiddle his thumbs (or whatever) for five hours, he'll soon get the message!
