That wasn't an interview, Kimi simply wouldn't ever put that many words together in one go, and that's why he's the best. His performance in Oz was blighted by two errors one minor on the grass and the other was brain fade down the inside of HK. Can't help feeling that while some bit of the engine may have let go the errors were Kimi's mainly because he was trying too hard with nothing to lose. But what do I know! Ferrari will be back for KL and Kimi will be there or thereabouts, put your money on it!

Simon (or should I say Heather (Mills)) So this is where you're hiding, you should have told 'richard' and several others here who don't know you that getting any sense out of you would be like getting blood out of a stone, when are you coming back to our debate?

Simon You've lost the plot I'm afraid, still no answer or counterpoint! First LH was fastest, then when challenged you admit he wasn't, now it's LH again. What's that about, either "Lewis was faster than Heikki all weekend" or he wasn't, do make your mind up! Prior to your previous rant, and indeed this last post, had you exercised a modicum of objectivity you would have understood the object of the my post and answered that, instead you rant on like Heather Mills interjecting puerile and superficial comment's whose only purpose it seems is to have the last word. Well you haven't convinced anyone but you can have the last word, it seem to be worth more to you then intelligent debate!

Disassociation process from Ferrari as a prelude to making a bid for the FIA Presidency when Mosley retires? Another ploy by Ferrari to assure their pre-eminent place in motor racing.

Simon So neither an answer nor a point to make, well that's typical of you I see you have agreed you were wrong with the line "Lewis was faster than Heikki all weekend" pity you don't check your facts before you post! You also mention Kublica, but what's the point you're making that wasn't covered in my earlier post? Kublica pitted a lap before LH and probably had a 0.1s/lap fuel advantage, but penalised by over 0.3s by his cross-country ramble in qualifying (that would otherwise have secured pole). The rest of your rant is best ignored as I'm sure you're now embarrassed by it. By the way, I never, but never post a 'Disagree/Agree' but do you?

Cunny Funt What you're suggesting is that LH pitted earlier then necessary so he could: a) Deliberately get caught up in traffic, b) Be penalised up to 0.3s a lap by carrying more fuel then necessary up to that point, and c) Avoiding an imaginary SC deployment .... ere... congratulations that's some strategy! Your logic (did I use the word logic?) on SC deployment is also flawed, neither I or McLaren can know when a SC will be deployed nor can it be planned for (unless as you suggest the FIA and Ferrari engineer an accident, perhaps kill a driver?) other then in reaction times. But if you were correct I'd ask who you think was responsible for polishing McLarens crystal ball?

Simon Apparently more insight then you, try reading the post before you interject with both size 14's simply for the purpose of posting nonsense. HK posted the quickest race lap, like Kublica could have posted a pole qualification lap if not for going cross country/ greater fuel load. If you had the insight, you might have seen the point was not why LH had a fuel advantage over HK and won, but will McLaren reciprocate the strategy for HK in KL? You keep believing what the drivers/managers et al say! Me, only some and even then taken with a pinch of salt. However I believe FM and HK when they hold up their hands and say "my fault" not LH when he shoots the "I could have gone faster" line.

Following on from Mark's post, in Oz McLaren strategy was to out qualify the field and two stop, LH was always to have the advantage of 0.5 secs over HK due to their differing fuel loads (LH pits on lap 17 HK on Lap 21). That's perfectly acceptable if the McLaren equality policy alternates the advantage of drivers to choose race strategy. But as we were to see in Hungary in 07 this wasn't always to be the case. All will be revealed in KL, where it's HK turn, but if he's not given first choice of strategy and optimum track position in final qualifying then we shall know for certain HK is there as a support driver and McLaren equality policy is nothing more then RD's hot air.

Gene could simply be saying the reason was the same, and like the rest of us is entitled to his opinion. Saying it could be driver error just as easily as a technical malfunction. If the former was the case (and in Kovalainen's case it was self-inflicted) then that would account for McLaren doing nothing, suggesting Hamilton was to blame in Brazil which is far more plausible then some glitch in the system that never occurred before or since (remember the ECU was changed for 2008).

No longer do I find the guy interesting enough to comment on, I'm genuinely surprised there's anyone out there that hasn't as yet got the message!
