MotoGP » Listen and learn at Jerez

Why do people constantly try to compare Bradley to true champions? Rossi, Marquez and Lorenzo were all champions coming into MotoGP. There is no comparison.....period. These guys will always run circles around Bradley.Thats why people call them aliens. They came into MotoGP with championships, not as back markers. I want to see good racing from the protos, not some want-to-be running around behind the CRT bikes. I am not saying I hate Bradley, he just isn't doing anything worth writing about for sure. If you want to read a bunch of I am learning stuff..... More power to ya!, Most people want to see the protos battling each other, not running behind CRT bikes. This is really sad, there is no excuse for being so far back. Someone else said it best: You should not be learning to be fast at this level! You should be perfecting race craft!..... Lorenzo, Rossi and Marquez were always fast. Bradley is no faster than the CRTs. You cannot sensibly argue he is better than Espagaro. And if we ap

MotoGP » Kevin Schwantz 'told to leave' Austin MotoGP test

Obviously some of the people here are missing the fact. Kevin was there with Attack Suzuki, as part of their CRT team effort. With a pass that had his name on it. Meaning COTA agreed to having him there, indirectly or not (still allowed access). It puzzles me how he could get access to the track without credentials? They don't just let anyone walk in! Come on folks! This is totally COTA trying desperately to make a point, after the fact. If he was there creating issues for the track thats one thing. But he was there at a CRT teams request, that itself makes his presence legal. I am quite sure there is no rule for the track stating people with lawsuits are not allowed at COTA. Simply put this is very silly politics. They think they are hurting Kevin, when in fact they are hurting the sport, for the benefit of their pride.

MotoGP » Bradley Smith: The most important test of my life

Ok, another perspective.... If all the top racers were to wear the same leathers and rode unmarked bikes, with only numbers on the riders (not knowing who was who), Would you still watch knowing the very best racers were out there mixing it up? This is the pinnacle of Motorcycle Racing, not a flag ceremony. If you are a great rider, your talents will get you where you need to be. As much as I don't want to admit it my nationality doesn't have the best riders in the world. I still want to watch the best racers though. I can watch a local series or World Superbike and see Mid-Pack MotoGP racers dicing it up for the wins every weekend. MotoGP is the elite racers, all racers (except Stoner) want to race there.

MotoGP » Bradley Smith: The most important test of my life

6 Spanish, 5 Italian, 3 American, 3 UK, 1 French, 1 Australian, 1 Colombian, 1 Czech, 1 Japan, 1 German... of that... 4Spanish, 3 Italians, 2 UK, 2 American, 1 German are on superior equipment. I don't understand how someone comes to an all Spanish class or even Ital-Span. There are a lot of other nationalities there, the key is they aren't as good as the Spanish and Italian riders people are speaking of. I am American, so I long for more American racers, but honestly, would they be more mid-pack racers, you guys want closer racing, yet you want a bunch of slow guys in the field. Sounds like you want to get rid of the Aliens and have a MotoGP class without the top talent. I just wanna see good racing. I don't care about nationality. Racing is what it is all about.

MotoGP » Bradley Smith: The most important test of my life

In 78 races MM has 26 wins and 2 championships ---could be another ALIEN. BS has 3 wins in 114 races ---Mid-pack GP racer. The numbers don't lie. There is no comparison. I wish all the racers the best including BS w/ passport! He made the show! Maybe he will beat the odds. But typically you get better in your career and advance. Not advance to maybe better your career.

MotoGP » Bradley Smith: The most important test of my life

Ok, I rarely comment on such articles. However someone posted shut up and race, thats the truth (regardless whether the season is in or not). I don't wanna hear how confident Bradley is, or what he thinks he is going to do. I just wanna see good racing. If he does good, so be it. What gets me though is people comparing BS to MM. There is no comparison. Lets do some Crash math here. Out of the races finished last year by both MM and BS (14). Take the difference of seconds (of which MM out performed in all) there is 216 seconds of difference. Thats 15.42 seconds a race that MM bettered BS. I can understand if the handicap was more like 5 seconds a race on average. But 15 come on. ..... So to set things straight, Bradley is here (passport only)!...... But lets quit comparing Bradley to far better racers!
