I think Casey has had a bit of a reality check, he really seams to genuinely appriciate where he finished and hopefully he stays this way. I look forward to seeing some good racing throughout the rest of the season. IMO he is a very good rider (along with the whole field, but certainly amongst 6 or so exceptional riders) but it has to be said that there is is only one totally outstanding rider in the current crop....

Firstly, in regards to Riders racing in different catagory's (ie 250/500 - Spencer) I think you'll find that Dorna will no longer allow it. Secondly, Stoner/Jorge & Pedrosa are all fantastic riders, period. Thirdly, 1 absolutely outstanding record that Rossi holds, that doubt will ever be challenged - he has not missed a Race since his 125GP Debut!

Have to agree Bear - and was a similar situation, as in down on Top Speed! Therefore the riders (Vermulen and Capirossi) are able to get great lap times, but in a race situation go backwards as they get beaten on the straights and can't use there ideal line for there incredible corner speed!

Lol - I was thinking that myself, ya think Rossi pushed the bike round the circuit? Was also wondering if Edwards is keen on a bit of humble pie? with Toseland 2 places ahead (on less laps?) - Roll on a fantastic season!

I don't think this single tyre thing is going to do any harm at all for the average Joe! With comments like: "so tyres will have to operate within a wider working range with a greater level of durability." & "Some riders put up to 40 laps on the same set of tyres with great consistency which was particularly impressive." I recon Bridgestone will have some pretty good rubber on the market in the next 6 months or so? Guess the nest set of slippers I put on the Trumpy will be Bridgestones! And of course, doesn't look like it's going to do any harm on the track either! Also of note: (at the end) continuing developement...

I think nearly every (sane) person on here agrees that Sebastien Bourdais was ripped by this idiotic stewards decision. Most of us are also aware that the 25sec 'Post Race Drivethrough' cannot be reversed. I therefore propose that they issue the rest of the field with a 25sec penalty - which, as outragous as it sounds, would only be half as stupid as this call in the first place! Honestly THE most rediculous call I have ever seen. I was once a fan of this sport, but my interest has declined at about the same rate as the FIA's competence

Dorna need to jump in and make the call to go to a CONTROL tyre, cause if it remains the way it's going (even if Michelin drop out and Bridgestone end up the default supplier) their is no parity. As some have mentioned Rossi/Stoner/Pedrosa etc will get 'special' tyres the rest get 'leftovers' - IMO Control tyres would be best for all: Parity amoungst the field, development (I can expand on this) and stop this stupid political garbage we've got at the moment

@ Juan H "It is a pity for Marco as he has never been given a chance on the best bike" - and how many other riders could you apply that too? The rest of the field (except Rossi, Stoner & Pedrosa) I imagine. Besides, Marco's on one of the best bikes but is unfortunately unsuited to him, as I think 800's may be - a little confusing cause everyone reckons they're more like 250's and considering his background? Oh well... He's done well in the past, hopefully he'll do well in the future also - but at the moment???

I'm glad to see Mclaren having a good run for a change, amazed there wasn't some kind of ruling made up halfway through the race to favour the Ferrari's? Lets hop you're on the Money there Barry!

So, Saltbush - what are they going to make Randy de Puniet's out of then?

@ Nicole Radha Quote "even the great Ross Brawn got it wrong for Honda" WTF? I don't think so. He was the only one to get it right, Handa had a fuelling rig problem which has sweet FA to do with Ross Brawn. But he made the best call to go Extreme Wets - they put Jenson on them too, but he still couldn't stay on the track!
