F1 » Hamilton: I think me and Senna would have been friends

Stubb: He lives his dream, makes a sh.t load of money and has his future in the bag at the age of 30. How many of you haters have achieved that, ha ha. You are just sore jealous losers all of you and can´t take his self esteem, buhuu. In Sweden we have saying for that, "Jantelagen" or "law of Jante" which means "that negatively portrays and criticises individual success and achievement as unworthy and inappropriate" You are all Swedish, he he.
He needs a little more lagom in you want to get all Swedish on us.

F1 » FIA to study closed-cockpit concepts

mrfill: The flying debris was caused because a car hit the concrete wall that is way too close to the track. Dan Wheldon suffered the same fate 4 years ago, for the same reason, but have lessons been learnt? Apparently not. Instead of dealing with the massive dangers of concrete walls in Indy car racing, they want to put a bubble on top of F1 cars. Massa and Surtees were hit by car parts in 2007 and 2010 respectively. Both times the question of cockpit covers was raised and, presumably, dismissed. If not, it has taken them 5 years to get nowhere. Drivers certainly sit lower than years ago and the cockpit has been strengthened to reduce the danger of cars and their parts hitting F1 drivers and I'm not convinced that a bubble or framework would be safer, especially if they hindered exit if a car was upside down.
They use the Safer Barrier in Indycar, not bare concrete walls. For the crashing car the angle of impact is less dangerous the closer that the wall is.

F1 » FIA to study closed-cockpit concepts

titfortat: As soon as they come in, I lose all interest, the whole thing F1 is know for is open cockpits. The only accident I can remember in recent times is the Massa one, Senna and Jules dying had nothing to do with the open Cockpit. Racing is dangerous! What are they gonna do, give the MotoGP Bikes four wheels so they cannot fall over? Stupid that everyone over reacts and ruins the sport like this.
It is not just in F1. Sutees and da Matta come to mind.
