F1 » Schumacher secures Mercedes role

@take it or leave it - Schumacher had the better of Nico for most of last year. There is no denying that he had more than the normal amount of bad luck and team caused problems. Plus there were many times in the first two seasons at Merc that he was put in a supporting role for Nico. So far with Nico and Lewis it is 1 - 1. Nico is proving that he is no slouch. I agree though that the lack of testing probably hurt Schumacher given his strong work ethic. That was an area that he could really establish his dominance.

F1 » F1 China 2013: I'd probably do same again, says Vettel

@George Zaidan - while I agree that Vettel has taken Red Bull to the next level Scott Speed was never on this team He was on Torro Rosso. To be fair Speed held his own against Liuzzi but like Webber he did not have the full support of the powers that be in the Red Bull empire. It is a bit hard to judge a driver in a back marker team unless they do something truly out of the ordinary

The folks at Mercedes must be loving this as we should really be slating them for robbing Nico of a podium. Perhaps Vettel is bigger than the team. Webber has never even finished runner up in the championship. When you bring home the results like Vettel has you are allowed to get away with a bit more. If Webber decides that his only recourse is to take Vettel out then the FIA better act strongly so that there is no question that this will not be tolerated.

F1 » McNish: Mercedes favouring Hamilton

@Take it or leave it - Actually I think that people said that Mercedes would be mid pack not Hamilton. They also said that Nico would give Lewis a run for his money. Lewis's fans must have cringed at the way that Nico out raced him in Malaysia. History has shown that Mercedes cannot keep up with the pace of development during the season so I am afraid that it is not going to get any easier for them once the European races start.

F1 » Boullier: Too early for team orders

@regteamoz - I would have a hard time calling team orders match fixing given that this is a team sport and not an individual sport. The closest thing to match fixing in F1 that I can think of was when the Williams team allowed Hakkinen / McLaren to win at Jerez in 1997. Otherwise it is just strategy for the benefit of the team.
