F1 » What we learned at the Belgian Grand Prix

ramjam 69: Lewis had a very valid reason for wanting to park the car. He's an engine down after qualifying in Hungary. Or have you conveniently forgotten that? What we did learn was that Nico is prepared to do anything to won the championship, however underhand......
It is not the first time that he has wanted to park it. Valid reason or not he wanted to and did quit the race. Nico's only mistake was not standing up to Lewis's aggressive driving sooner. I am glad that he finally showed that he won't back down anymore.

F1 » Lauda: ‘Lewis did nothing wrong’

Cubikrube: OK so if Nico is alongside then how does his front wing hit Lewis rear tyre? The logic displayed by some on here is seriously questionable. I already said it was a racing incident, also said I can see why Merc are miffed but seriously, and you know who you on earth can anyone be alongside and hit someone in the rear? Nico's front wheel was near Lewis back wheel. I'll give you it was alongside that but that's the rear 10-15% of the be anywhere near classed as alongside you'd have to be 75% along, hell I'll give you 50% and he was still miles off that figure. Fanboy blinkers? No proper haters blindfold more like. Stick with facts, they tend to put emotion and bias in the shade
Any part of the car is what the rules state. 1% is the same as 100%.

F1 » Rosberg v Hamilton: Have your say

LoveF1: Continued..... At that moment, does the driver see himself as part of a team (eg Red Bull or Ferrari) driving against another team (eg Mercedes or Williams). Or does he see himself as a driver driving against EVERYBODY ELSE, including his own teammate??? I think I now have my answer to this age-long conundrum....but answers on a postcard all the same....please!!
In theory you may one day need help from your teammate. It is unlikely that these two will ever help each other though. I would not be surprised if Nico let Ricciardo win yesterday to put more pressure on Lewis.

F1 » Rosberg v Hamilton: Have your say

richard: mark. i cannot remember, but did you say you were from california? if so, i hope that you have not been impacted by the earthquake. the same goes for any other poster here from the area.
Thank you Richard. I do live about 30 miles from the epicenter of the quake. We were up in the Sierra Nevada/Lake Tahoe area this weekend and did not feel it. My son was home and for some reason awake at 3AM. He said that it lasted for a while but it was not too bad. It mostly affected the city of Napa. The Sears Point/Sonoma Raceway is even closer and they had no problems and were able to hold the Indycar race as planned. The local highways were closed for a short time so that they could be inspected.
