MotoGP » Would Rossi have won without Marquez mistake?

MM would have raced for the win in my opinion but I believe that on this night Rossi had the better pace although not in qualifying etc...he found something in WUP... The time difference at the end meant MM would not have pushed as hard as he would have in a battle...also MM (although he set the top speed record) did not have the benefit of the draft to improve the lap time during the race.... it is difficult to compare MM and VR because VR got into open air earlier than MM and was able to put the hammer down while MM was in traffic. This is why a comparison is difficult. With 15 laps to go Dovi did 354Kph while Rossi did 332 down the same straight but Rossi won anyway so top speed does not mean top lap time!! although it does mean that Rossi probably used the draft effectively on the straight to maintain pace when he was behind!! which we know can improve the lap time as riders have done in Qualifying and FP!! it is difficult to judge but with Rossi also coming through the pack it see

MotoGP » MotoGP Qatar - Warm-up Results

As long as I have been a fan of Rossi, I am not sure why he always surprises me....He was never that great in qualifying and always pulls an incredible race, far better from what his qualifying suggests. However, I cannot help but think that he and his team, need to sort the weekend out faster instead of this constant last minute fix that may or may not work (although he seems to bat over 70% that it does work in the race). This new generation of riders do not wait around and are fast...the chances of a title are less now for Rossi with so many competitive while I believe he is always able to pull it out... he and team need to sort issues earlier and be fast from the off as he was in Misano last year!!! if he wishes to take the title this year or the next... GO Rossi!!

MotoGP » MotoGP Qatar - Full Qualifying Results

Good job Yonny!...Soft tyre or not he is right there with Iannone on a 2 generation older is only over 1 lap but still a good deal for the Pramac team... I do not recall them being here last year!! with the same concessions...seems the rider is getting better.... Little disappointed to see Rossi in 8th but still holding faith in his race craft. I believe the Repsols are a shoe in for this one... Lorenzo may be in with a shout. Rossi will have to pull something out of the hat tomorrow...which we all know he and team are capable of but he has got to stop this last minute deal as he will struggle every weekend...he needs to be top 4 every weekend to make life easier...but I have faith...GO Rossi but even better! Go MotoGP.....hoping for a cracking race!!!!

MotoGP » Second fastest Crutchlow still unsure

EdOz: It seems has let the intern proof read the text again... and Crutchlow is a World Superbike Champion, not Supersport.
We all make mistakes brother...even's all good... but Cal wished he was a Superbike Champion on the same bike that Spies won on the year before..... he did some amazing fast laps but only managed 2 or 3 wins the whole year...he had a double which was good at Imola..I believe, but that's it. This was the reason people did not understand what he did to deserve a seat at Tech 3....

MotoGP » Ninth place Rossi ‘a lot more satisfied’

cont'd.... The Open bike they passed to FWD Racing was allowed as it was a private team not a factory effort and all the private teams were permitted in the Open class to provide parity against the full resource factories. Yamaha simply caught Honda out as Honda "thought" they had to build a production racer. Yamaha without the same resources read between the lines and realized that they could effectively use an older prototype...not of current factory spec (already made so no more major costs...and apply the standard ECU and be well in the rules...Honda was furious! mostly because they did not think of it first!! so their Proddy racer was a flop...but look at the bike they got this year....much better and would have probably done some damage last year...

MotoGP » Ninth place Rossi ‘a lot more satisfied’

separated: Do people even bother to read the rules? Honda and Yamaha could have chosen to go Open like Ducati, but they chose not to. The Open category was made to be a cheap and competitive alternative to Honda and Yamaha's factory route. They lose out in qualifying because they chose not to go Open? They have 2-4 liters less fuel? They have less engines and can't develop them? Tough.
Actually, I used to argue the same point, that would make us both wrong!!!! Honda could not go Open class nor Yamaha because they had wins in the 2013 season. Only factory bikes without a win in the previous 2013 (prior to 2014) season could qualify for open concessions. Ducati had no wins and so they qualified if they so choose as well as all the new manufacturers who also would not have wins in the 2013 season. This was the defining factor of the rule so Honda and Yamaha did not qualify. The Open bike they passed to FWD Racing was allowed as it was a private team not factory ef

MotoGP » Moto2: Lowes wins Zarco battle to stay on top with record time

I am real happy for Sam.... now he might be the exception but everyone (in general) always talk smack about production racers will never compete at this level because they did come through moto3/125s etc etc...well we know Cal is doing pretty good even though many slate him...but I am real happy that Sam is putting down his name in rubber on this field...Supersport World Champion doing the business....with that said, hopefully the race is the same, with him challenging at the front... I like Tito and I wish him all the best but I have some coin on Sam this season (mostly because he is doing the same at multiple different tracks that require different technique and strengths...this to me, means a well rounded rider) and I expect Zarco is going to be a handful for them both!!!!

WSBK » Unstoppable Rea doubles up in Thailand

Do not get me wrong... I rate Rea but what is disturbing is the dudes on here writing off Tom Sykes as if he only won because he was on a Playstation... I mean these people on here use popularity and mistake it for talent... 4 years ago it was all love for Tom Sykes now all of a sudden he has no talent even though he was the one fighting for and winning (2013) the title in the last 3 years!!!????? The fact that you no longer like him does not mean he is not a top rider with talent so please stop all the all sound like little kids... Please remember that Kawasaki was not always the best bike and look what he achieved after 20 years of nothingness for Kawasaki!! Again GO Johnny...I am happy for you! but tell these disillusioned fan boys to chillax!!
