MotoGP » Rossi, Burgess discuss shock 2014 split

Definitely a shock... The previous article seem to suggest that Yamaha had a say in this happening or at least suggesting a change IF Rossi is to continue into 2015. I believe what has not come out here is Rossi saying to stay with Yamaha past 2014 (excluding results) is a changing of the guard regarding Burgess from Yamaha. So Rossi had to make the decision if his career were to continue past 2014 with Yamaha as I do not believe that Rossi will ride for a satellite team and would rather retire. In the end it was his decisions but I believe there were other factors. Burgess knows the deal once him and Rossi had their sit down and realizes that it was strictly based on the current situation with Yamaha and Rossi's desire to continue past 2014. Sad to see this era ending... it was great while it lasted!!!

MotoGP » Marquez seals Friday practice double

Hasn't "played it safe" all season...cannot see him doing it now even in light of the title. However, if he sees Lorenzo scrapping and playing rough he may settle beind him IF he cannot straight get away for the win but he is not gonna accept a safe position at the onset.. he wants to win in style and stomp his authority!! He is going to do it!! MM for Champeen 2013!! Give it a fight Lorenzo... hope Rossi can stick a wheel in there to make it interesting but to worry about MM finishing 4th if Lorenzo wins seem hardly a worry.. although anything can happen with rubber, road, and 235 HP!!

WSBK » Camier: 'The day after they decided to sign Laverty'

Handshake or not, it is the stringing along that sucks about this deal. We all know, that riders are always looking and teams are always looking...their is no secret there but it seems to me that riders can tell a team that he is interested but are exploring other options with the knowledge that if they "snooze they lose" and the same goes for the team! so why all the shady dealings??? Anyway this sucks for Leon,, the dude has serious potential....before you all judge take a look at Sykes!! He was on the best bike in 2009 (although less supported than Spies just like Leon with Max) and he went to a dog that took 3 full years to develop but he is now World Champion. Hopefully Althea or MV Agusta will take him on... I personnaly believe he deserves a spot on this grid.

MotoGP » Late Marquez lap edges out Lorenzo

MM pace at last year Valencia Finale in Moto2 was impressive. A lot of haters said he was gifted the best bike in moto2 etc etc... but strange enough when rain falls everyone on here always talk about the great leveller!! Well when the great leveller was in place last year, MM rode from last to first. Now explain to me why so many on here doubted his ability!! Anyway... I want Lorenzo to win the race as oppose to MM cake walking it!! but as DP said the guy has been on the podium in dang near every race (less the 2 he did not finish) so I do not see getting 4th an issue even if Lorenzo does win. Hell JL is gonna have a hard time beating the 2 Hondas...DP may well win! MM will be champion!!! GO Lorenzo!!

WSBK » Alex Lowes testing Fixi Crescent Suzuki at Jerez

Jimmythereal one I am wondering the same... I was gutted for Carmier this year...I really expected a stunner in 2013 from him but that is how the cookie crumbles!! with injuries etc. Suzuki would be foolish to let him go right now. So what of Cluzel?? I think he did great in his first year just shy of Baz who was in his second year albeit a partial year in 2012. Another year for Cluzel under his belt would have done him good but I suppose he could go back to Moto2 or SSport and run for the title!! Maybe Yachnich will take him on for their superbike effort although a shot at the supersport title would be a great choice with Cluzel and Yamaha.. I mean he spank Sam in 2012 and some would say that as a rookie he was dam good in SS!! Hell he challenged Kenan for the title!

BSB » Ellison, Walker form new GBmoto Kawasaki line-up

well...I am surprised that he is not with the Yamaha next year.. I wonder if he made the move to land a more competitive bike or Shaun Muir indicated a change was forthcoming? At any rate I wonder who is riding the second Yamaha? Will it be on the grid at all? I thought that it would have been JE and Bridewell next season so this is surprising... but the Kawasaki is a sought after bike so Ellison may believe that he has a better chance on the Kawasaki. Is it me or the signings seem late this year?... all round from MGP to WSBK and BSB

MotoGP » Michael Jordan Motorsport to MotoGP or WSBK?

pcxmax That is an unfair and biased assessment of what is going on at Yamaha. Rossi had very little input on this years bike because he was at Ducati last year remember?? However, he has been given a fair input on how to progress during the season eg. seemless gearbox etc. However I agree that the bike was developed around JL riding philosophy/style... he was and is the #1 Rider (just as Rossi was before ducati). The 2014 bike will reflect more of Rossi's input but to what extent is unclear because Jlo is still the primary. Even if they follow a Rossiesque direction and make the yamaha the dominant force it was in the Rossi era...this may benefit JLo even more, making him faster and hence maintaining the #1 spot in the team. I for one hope they do follow Rossi and he gets faster and challenge the top 3 consistently because in my mind he is the greatest ever but I am also not afraid to realize that his peak may have past. I am hoping on 1 more World championship before he retires but

WSBK » Alex Lowes testing Fixi Crescent Suzuki at Jerez

I think Sam was refering to a world title on Suzuki... I do not believe he meant win a race...Sam has big ambitions. Alex needed to get out of BSB before he became the next MAtt Mladin (not a bad thing but not what he wants). He has used the stepping stone but do not get stuck on it... Sam would not take the Fixi ride but Alex may do some damage on it and make his presence felt... Can't help but think he would challenge Rea on the Ten Kate... not sure if that ride would be a good thing but right now it seems Honda is a career killer... anyway I know Honda is already lined up...
