MotoGP » Rossi pondering tyre dilemma after free practice at Indy

Unfortunately this is more normal for Rossi recently.....race pace is usually good but he has to find a way to do better in FP to set himself up better for qualifying..... The only reason I care about his early pace is because he ends up having too much to do in the race and although he always comes back to 2nd or 3rd he spends up so much of everything getting there he never has that little extra to hold MM or really threaten him....Then that always lead to the "what if" arguments/conversations. Anyway hope he has a great race.....someone needs to box up MM,, at least once this year.....

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi leads first session at 'new' Indy

EdOz: It's good to be 1st in FP1 but in all seriousness it means NOTHING on a regular weekend and it means even less on this one... 'new' circuit and new surface. Riders and teams will be all using FP1 and FP2 to find the best setting... sure, all the riders want to get P1 but in this case I think it's more of a case of Rossi either finding a good setting early or just being so experienced that.........!
TBH Rossi usually struggles at new tracks and although this is not new per say...what is more indicative is the fact that it seems the Hondas are struggling,,,Pedrosa in 16!!!!!!!! WTF... Bautista and Bradl in the teens as well....and MM shuffled to 5th....this is not normal...was it damp? Did I miss something? Point is normally I wouldn't read too much into this BUT something is different....about this early result...

MotoGP » LCR Honda confirms Cal Crutchlow

rbr46: We saw what he can do on the tech 3 but there really is no excuses next year. When cal teamed with Dovi at tech 3 he got his a** handed to him.
Handed him his A** is relative...Yes his teammate beat him soundly....lets not forget though that Dovi has been riding in MotoGP since 2006...that is 5 years longer than Cal and how many more years on these tracks in lower classes???? FACT IS... if he didn't beat Cal he should not be on the grid in MotoGP!!! Cal had only1 year in MotoGP!!! so I cannot agree wholly with your comments because Dovi beat (basically) a rookie!!...ok so it was his second year but still...!! Guess what!!! Cal handed Dovi his a** last year......LOL!!!!!!!! any comments about that!!

MotoGP » LCR Honda confirms Cal Crutchlow

Well...there is my confirmation...I just asked for less than 1 minute ago..... PS Just because he got a Honda does not mean he will be able to do well on it... he said it himself...he spent 3 year learning to ride like Lorenzo...he had to copy a style..to get fast...if the Honda requires a different style, he will still struggle although not like he was at Ducati!! He adapts slowly and I cannot see him breaking any boundaries in first year!! maybe he will show some pace at end of 2015 as he gets used to it... However...I hope he stuffs all that mess and make me eat my shoe!!because we need more riders at the front of GP!!!

MotoGP » Rossi: Tracks that are difficult for me

You all just read into stuff way too much..... He does not like the upcoming tracks as much, so he tends to struggle more for whatever the reason...mental block...just hates them but is being nice... What it does not mean is that he is not capable of doing well just that he finds it more difficult to showcase his best for whatever reason...ani-clockwise vs clockwise circuit. He is performing better this year and the bike is also better...no chance of podium last year but this year will be better (minus a crash)...not saying he will win just saying if he wins....its because he is in a better position than last year!!

MotoGP » Miller to join Crutchlow at LCR?

Honda might be trying to not pull a Stoner mistake.....they had him on LCR but let him slip to Ducati. Truthfully when I think of stoner....I think of his time at Ducati...not Honda, although he won a title there! With MM, I am not sure why this would be an issue but Honda may just be looking way ahead. Unfortunately MM proved that u do not need 2 or 3 years on a MotoGP bike to win and that may well be true for Miller although highly unlikely with much less experience. MM had 2 years in Moto2 to hone his skills....so I do not quite see miller jumping up to GP and doing much....at least for 2 more years...2017 maybe...if they keep him around...

MotoGP » LCR Honda confirms Cal Crutchlow

Firefly: I think this is a stupid decision. Bradl seemed to have a lot more in him than Crutchlow.
IF you are debating potential then it is truly debatable.... but look at the black and white print....Cal has outperformed Bradl so far in every "complete" year in MotoGP (this year is not yet over although we can all forecast the outcome). It is true that Cal had 1 year up on Bradl as he was a rookie in 2012 but Bradl had 5 years (give or take) on GP tracks in lower classes that are considered the best feeder for MotoGP... I think we can all agree that SBK is not the dominant force for developing top MotoGP riders so why didn't Bradl dominate Cal in 2013?? on the top bike...Honda.. so "potential" is debatable as this "factory" Honda should be even better than Tech 3...

MotoGP » LCR Honda confirms Cal Crutchlow

I always argue the other side to make sure we are objective...I am more a Dovi fan (than Cal) at any rate....although I do tend to knock him for not doing more on the factory Honda... I just do not like the one sided arguments because Cal can ride a bike if a bit loud mouth at times and is one of a few (5?) sat guys to make the podium in the last 7 or so years.

2008
I stand corrected...3 years more in MotoGP and another dozen...kidding... in the lower classes on GP tracks....
