MotoGP » Nakamoto wants greater usability from 2015 Honda

I don't suppose that Redding's struggle to make even top 15 in testing is also an indicator that the Honda is difficult.... I mean he was barely doing his old times from the customer/OPEN Honda...who would have predicted that...even his naysayers would have at least thought that top 10 would have been easy but I guess not! Crutchlow did OK but he was doing what Bradl would have done...granted we all cut him some slack because the bike was new to him and he was as fast as he was on the Ducati (in the end) in his first outing on the Honda so that is worth a little something but as Nakamoto said it is now a question of the last tenth or 2 tenths which are very difficult to obtain... so Crutchlow could well hit a roadblock to his progress if this bike does not improve in those areas Nakamoto spoke about.... So I have to say yes...MM is the difference at Honda... only 1 win by another Honda rider that was not Marquez

MotoGP » Nakamoto wants greater usability from 2015 Honda

"The only race you can say they flat out matched his speed and beat him was Brno.... I would say Misano as well, Rossi didn't do that all on his own.. he had a better bike, I am sure we remember last year....2013 Also are you comparing Yamaha against Honda or Yamaha against Marquez??!! because all the Honda riders dropped away after mid-season.. Bautista went from podium challenger to barely making top 10... Bradl faded away and Pedrosa struggled although it looks worst for Pedrosa as he was taken out in a couple races... and gave away an otherwise possible good result at Sepang... What we have here is possibly a case of the old Ducati... with only 1 rider able to make the most of the machine and quite possibly why Nakamoto is looking at the BIG picture and not just Marquez!!! Both Yamahas were strong in the latter half...compared to Honda NOT just Marquez!

WSBK » Rea: New rules ‘swinging towards’ Ducati

I think the better comment or opinion is that they all "deserve a proper shot" at the title!!! i.e. Equally competitive machine, funding, and team!!! This way, no one can ever minimize the work that every one of these competitors do to reach here!! So yea! Johnny Rea deserves a proper shot by having a proper bike just like all the rest. This way he can prove without a doubt that he is the best, and he beat the best to earn/deserve the title over any one else.... That is all I ask....

WSBK » Canepa, Pegram form new EBR line-up

Win win situation.... Sorry for Canepa as I believed he deserved a better ride but he was out of a job!! Most of the competitive seats in all relevant championships were already sewed up! Now he is the leading rider for a manufacturer in WSBK!! He may well hold this job for 3 years easy IF EBR stays that long. He will be the faster rider and only if the bike starts to finish top ten will they attract more talent! EBR got really lucky with snatching up Canepa but as I said this is a win, win situation...bigger win for EBR but advantages for all!! Glad EBR looks to be stronger for 2015 but also glad Canepa is sticking around...Hopefully he will finish in the points each race...

WSBK » Rea: New rules ‘swinging towards’ Ducati

Every rider who makes it to this level "deserve" it. However they all have to keep working to earn it!! To say Johnny "deserves" it any more than anyone else is misleading as it gives the impression that no one else has worked hard.... When Sykes switched to KRT...no-one else deserved it more(to use your saying)... look where he came from.. Point being they all work hard, they all deserve it...now they have to earn it!!! Johnny has to earn it like Sykes and Guintoli did or all before him!!! I think Chaz deserves it... especially since I never even believe he would make it back to world level when he was in AMA... When Sylvain took Biaggi's seat many said it was the wrong choice but he deserved it!! etc etc... I could keep going but you all get the picture.....

MotoGP » Nakamoto wants greater usability from 2015 Honda

Brain... That is understood... but the point is that the Yamahas...all of them including tech 3 and the FWD racing bike were in the better part of the top ten while all the Hondas (most) fell away because they could not find the extra 10th or 2 tenths they need...this is what Nakamoto is saying...You are focusing on just the top 4 and Dani Pedrosa is the example Nakamoto used but overall all the Yamaha's improved (of course the factory improved more) but Yam's are more user friendly and Honda/Nakamoto said he is trying to replicate this example....following the example of Yamaha to make the 2015 bike more user friendly and easy! since the 2014 bike was not and he realized the problems presented to all, including the satellite teams...

MotoGP » 2016 MotoGP ECU to be ‘equal, easy, safe’

cont'd... enjoy or go watch competitive sweater making without electronic aids like digital sewing machines.... Do not get me wrong...I miss the old days of sliding the bike and the twist of the wrist... hell even carburetors sound good but we have moved on and as nostalgic as I am about the old 500's...lets see.. Honda dominated then too...I think Suzuki had a couple championship and Wayne Rainey did something in the early 90's for Yam... Rossi brought them back to the front.. We need to drop this electronic aid argument...the single ECU and shared software is the best WE can hope for!!! where electronics are concerned!! but I will bet nothing will change in the next few years...the top riders will be the top riders!! the midfield will tighten up which is good!! I suppose.....

MotoGP » 2016 MotoGP ECU to be ‘equal, easy, safe’

I see both sides of all these arguments but something needs to be done!! I know we all blast the manufacturers but if they decide to move on then MotoGP will not be the same and might not even survive. So there is a balance that needs to be kept or at least strived for... Help the smaller teams and keep the series relevant for the manufacturers... these new rules will do that (to an extent) and as everything stands in a couple more years those rules will have to be revisited again...because one manufacturer will find some extraordinary breakthrough and the huge advantage will have to be reigned in...nothing has changed in 60+ years of racing in all series...it is not a stagnant era of racing...we will not continue to live in 1990s.. and even then Repsol Honda dominated as well.... we went thru the Yamaha era now the pendulum has swung.. Sorry fellas but the pipe dream is believing and arguing about getting rid of electronic aids...what a joke...IT WILL NOT HAPPEN!!!! so either enjoy or

MotoGP » CEV Moto3 becomes ‘Junior World Championship’

Well, one thing is certain is that this is the best feeder championship, mostly because the Spanish have the foresight and support to get it going... However, I think they race in multiple countries, true? I have seen races in Mugello but not sure if they do anything in France or anywhere else... So maybe their could be a dispute of the word/phrase "World Championship" when "Euro Championship" may be more appropriate but I also see the foresight of this "CEV Junior World Championship" idea...in that they want to open the championship to the rest of the world in search of the next big thing for years to come...... more riders will aim to be in this championship!! Hell no one else has anything like it so press on and I think it is a great idea!!!

MotoGP » Iannone ‘eliminates doubts’ on Ducati

Volvobloke: He crashes too much, and just does not have the raw speed of the other factory riders.
There was never any question of his raw speed...he beat MM in moto2 multiple times did he not??? so I am not sure what you are basing this opinion on...anyway...the rest I agree with... he crashes too much hence the resulting inconsistency...but in MotoGP he was always on a Ducati so to compare him to the Top 4 is a bit unfair regarding raw speed...since we are in the dark about what he could/may do on a factory Honda or Yamaha!!
