WSBK » Rea ‘will lift Kawasaki to next level’

This is TOO funny.... You guys are all on a public forum bashing Sykes who was on a public forum bashing Baz BUT you all hate him or loss respect for him doing the same thing YOU all are doing now!!! hahahahahahah It is so comical to read (at least) but with Sykes having more at stake with the WSBK Championship...I am wondering why it is OK for you all to bash and smack talk on a public forum with no direct involvement or anything at stake BUT Sykes is shameful for doing the same... Things that make you go Hmmmmm!!!!!??? PS Create a war between Sykes and Rea if you believe so but these too are actually mates and cool with each other!! so the war will only be amongst the fans aside from the competitive racing on the track!!!

WSBK » Sykes: I said Sepang DNF could prove costly…

I see Sykes' point.... in that context with his teammate taking him out being his only DNF of the year it turns out that was a critical decider of the title!! I am not for the team order thing! but we have seen many teams use it so why should the defending champ be denied the same advantage IF needed! However as I have said before (and Sykes admitted it in the interview) Baz giving up the position in race 1 would not have mattered. At any rate, I respect Sykes and his opinion and Baz...on his way out.. could not care less but it is just ironic that the truth probably is that Baz cost him the title in Sepang! I believe Tom was on for at least 4th in Sepang (he was third in race 2 without the benefit of a race1 analysis) which "could" have meant no need for team orders or any gifting of position but since Baz happened to be the one who took him out it might have been sporting of him to let Tom thru on the final lap in case he needed the points for the title!!

WSBK » Rea ‘will lift Kawasaki to next level’

CliffEdge: Interesting comment - "Rea will lift Kawasaki to the next level." That implies that the team thinks that he will do better than Sykes.
I did not take it that way.... with Baz finishing back in 5th place...that statement seems to me to mean that Rea will perform better than Baz thereby putting Kawasaki in for the manufacturers title and IF Rea gels with the machine both their riders may be fighting for the riders champ as well!! The higher level of competition in the garage coupled with greater feedback from Rea's experience means development can also accelerate as opposed to with Baz...not a dis to Baz but a big up to Rea's experience..

WSBK » Sykes: I said Sepang DNF could prove costly…

AmIEviL: Well perhaps if Tom had of handled the sepang race incident a little better instead of ultimately costing Baz his ride at Kawasaki by throwing him under the bus ,Loris would have listened to team orders and let Tom by......
Sorry bro but Baz was not about to lose his ride at Kawasaki....and definitely not because of Tom. Kawasaki said they had a three year plan with Baz (1 year left) and applauded Baz for pushing for opportunities in MotoGP.. ironically...Baz's search to move to MotoGP probably/definitely prompted Kawasaki to search for a replacement... Baz got what he went searching for and left the team so I am not sure where you get the whole "ultimately costing Baz his ride.." from?

MotoGP » Aoyama becomes Honda test rider, RC213V-RS debut

nmbooth: for me that means Scott is top open Honda you cant count aoyamas points if he gets any as they aren't on equal machinery...
WELL???....You are right they are not on equal machinery BUT Aoyama is still riding an OPEN Honda and that is the ONLY other category he is classed in not a 4th class by himself...so I would say yes, if he beats Scott he is the top OPEN Honda regardless...he just happened to get a little favoritism with the new upgraded Honda which he uses (possibly) to beat Scott. If Yamaha gives Lorenzo the 2015 Factory Yamaha this weekend but not to Rossi and he beats Rossi to second in the championship and he wins the race does it count? I am pretty sure it does!!

MotoGP » Rossi unveils new Yamaha R1 Superbike

PacienT: To be honest, Yamaha pissed me a bit again, when it was Lorenzo, ho brought at the end of that show on stage tuned R1-M. Valentino is better this season and as for bike development, they knew who they should ask for advice, but they quickly froget when they bring new stuffs on the circuit, as we saw it this season with new exhaust, frame and fairing.
You are too wound up and overthinking this...Rossi was specifically involved in the development of the R1 (both contributed) by test riding it etc. So Rossi presented it. The M version was presented by Lorenzo not to say he was the only one to develop it or he is #1 rider but this was just a PR event and both played a role as Factory riders....it's OK dude not everything is a conspiracy...it is not about who is doing better this season or not...relax and enjoy man...it really is OK..there is a place and a job for the 2 riders... not one or the other!!

WSBK » Jonathan Rea to Kawasaki WSBK in 2015

I think a few people on here will get a shock....Rea is good and I like him and I am glad he is switching because that Honda was crap and he dedicated himself to it with no reward (except his pay I guess). However all this forgone conclusions about him stomping on Sykes is a comedy... I am not saying will not beat Sykes but it is not a done deal... Sykes is no slouch and he will have to rely on Sykes' data at first to get up to speed. Secondly, there is the possibility that Rea has been on the Honda for far too long. He may get to the Kawasaki and find that he does not have the feeling for that bike completely and the bike may not suit the riding style he has engrained for 6 seasons of riding superbikes... Every one said that Crutchlow's switch to Ducati would be great because his riding style..blah blah blah .... But we know differently now...he developed his style around the Yamaha and struggled in Ducati...it has taken him almost the whole year and is now coming good...Rea may be r

MotoGP » de Puniet urges Suzuki to consider satellite entry

DePuniet is correct and knows a heck of a lot more about bike development than us on this website!... they need more input from more riders...Certainly the goal would be to contract the services of one of the top 4 or give Stoner a big contract to develop for them (but he will not, got a sweet thing with Honda already)... but for now they need to put the most experience guy on that bike....DePuniet, and it doesn't matter if it is on a satellite just run it like tech 3 or LCR and use the data!! With that said Suzuki may just not have the funding to do it..bottomline and IODA or PBM may not have the dough to run it either! This factory bike will cost a bit more than Aprilia CRT!! Aliex and Maverick are a good pairing but for a first run in motogp and be on a "need to develop" bike the timing is not right for Maverick...its a deep end toss...hope he swims well!! Suzuki needed to secure the next big thing anyway so they went for it!! Maybe they can get Hayden for 2016 if Aleix proves futi

WSBK » Sykes: I said Sepang DNF could prove costly…

If anything Baz cost himself the ride by not really performing... I really expected Baz to do better this year..he was so impressive in 2012 when he debuted and in 2013 he did well...but he is still young, I just thought he would do better this year at least winning a few races! @ AmlEvil I would think for taking out Sykes in Sepang, his only DNF which, in this case, was a HUGE factor in the title!!... I will not debate "IFs" however you cannot overlook the situation as if it never happened! Baz was asked to concede a position and it was his right or choice not to..which is fine!! anyone is entitled to do what the hell they want but in this situation (being the final round and title decider) it seems unsporting to not help your teammate who is in a title fight!! TBH there shouldn't have to be any team orders....remember Pedrosa at Valencia after taking out Nicky Hayden in Estoril 2006???? He did it of his own accord...sporting!! and with a Championship on the line!!
