F1 » FIA: ‘Nothing could have been done better’ post-crash

walrus909: I still opine that from watching the home video (I regret watching) that the elevated marshall waiving the green flag was within meters of the crash site. As well as probably more visible above the spray for track level yellows. I'll also admit that I don't know if this was a contribution to the crash. It just was blatantly infuriating to see Green -Crash in the same frames.
couldnt possibly be! he went off the track well before post 12, in a section where double yellows were being waved, yellow lights on the track, and yellow lights on his dashboard. as mentioned before, the greens were for the NEXT sector, as it was clear. jules ended up still in the yellow sector. he , and all the other drivers are experienced f1 drivers, and know what the flags mean. so the green flag waved from post 12, had NO bearing on the incident.
