F1 » Sainz Jr confirms Caterham contact

my first thoughts were the fact is he is a red bull protege, then he could hardly be in realistic contact with caterham. but, sorry commo, i cannot see marko trying to get a third tier level in their academy. if they are, it would seem as if red bull want to take over f1, which in my mind would be a catastrophe. sainz would be far better of concentrating on winning the 3.5 championship, and to see where he goes from there.

F1 » Bottas sees potential FRIC advantage

sunny. i am with commo on this. and that is why i brought up the ferrari mention first. and now you say that the fric was tested in the wind tunnel? are you saying that a miniature sized system was made up and fitted to the two thirds scale models? or are you saying that three teams have actually broken the testing rules? marussia are one of the teams prepared to protest the system. do they have the system? or are they the ones acting on behalf of ferrari due to their close links?

F1 » Bottas sees potential FRIC advantage

sunny. come on! i am not on an anti ferrari rant. you know well that i am a fan of ferrari! but the simple fact is hat it has been discussed on other sites that it is believed that ferrari are the ones who are questioning the legality of fric. (and i would support them querying the system). i dont even know if ferrari have a system or not, but you should know by now that any team that cannot perfect an idea, will automatically query certain items on other cars. just as merc have done over the last two years about ferrari and rbr. its all part of the game also interesting is taz's comment (which i had not heard) that marussia and williams ran without fric this week. they obviously were aware that there was a challenge to its legality.

rob. you fell for that one big time! i was winding you up, and it worked! of course rbr had fric. they are at the top of the game and there was going to be no way that they would allow merc to steal a march on them. what i am surprised at was the fact that you were not claiming that rbr were cheating, but that merc, macca, ferrari etc were not. did you hear that rbr were also using interconnected braking?
