F1 » Tilke rejects blame for boring F1 races

theeagle: They could very easily bring back Paul Ricard (France) and Imola. The latter one would be brilliant with old tamburello and SAFER (Steel And Foam Energy Reduction) barriers as they now have on the IndyCar speedways. That would be the day!
this came up the other day....paul ricard is owned by bernie, and he cannot afford the extortionate fees that bernie charges!

F1 » Button hints at options beyond McLaren

ProfessorDave: With the exception of Schuey, in the past eighteen years no driver over the age of 33 has won an F1 World Championship . (Anyone who clicks disagree doesn't know the facts!)
why pick on 18 years? you could of course say 10 years. or you could of course say "since the inception of f1!", but then there would be a number of drivers. a random figure has no relevance.

F1 » Verstappen: Toro Rosso best handling car after Mercedes

JJJ: One thing I'm wondering about though if is there migth be something wrong with Max' chassis. It didn't make sense for himm to easily be faster than Sainz all through FT1, FT2 and FT3 and then be half a second off or so in quali, plus then to drop it weirdly under full throttle in the race.
yes, they found tat there was a serious problem with the floor after quali, but they could not repair the car as they didnt have a new floor to fit.

F1 » Tilke rejects blame for boring F1 races

Racer4Life: I don't know why he seems to be the only guy in the world who designs tracks. His layouts are designed by a computer. It's another piece of the F1 puzzle that's missing.
he isnt! but he is the one with the most experience. and he is right...he has to design a track within the confines of the location and with a brief from fia as to what he can or cannot do.

F1 » Mercedes warned for Silverstone dummy pit

rob01: Charlie and the boys said they would have NO Way of knowing whether or not it was a dummy pit stop. This race weekend if a team says pit this time or the driver says i am coming in(box). And then right before the driver reaches the pit entry he yells I am going for another lap. Is that a dummy or not???
the funny thing is that dc immediately spotted that it was a dummy pit stop, even as the crew were setting it up. so if dc could see it, then why couldnt charlie?

F1 » Ricciardo: Bring back deterrents!

Tomco: No they dont race at Monaco but do race at many of the same tracks as F1 so the abrasive runoffs could only be instigated at the few tracks that bikes dont compete on.
but what i am getting at is that there is no requirement that bikes use a track also used by f1. bikes use a lot of tracks that are not suitable for f1. and in fact there are only a couple of overlaps.
