F1 » Horner praises ‘great racing’ between Vettel and Alonso

kiwi. had to look back at what corkey said, that makes you think i am sulking. but why would i? when lulu goes backwards, it is normally in the race and when he is on identical strategies as those around him! seb went backwards due to poor team strategy that saw him released in a position where he did not have a space to pull away from ferdi. the figures all show that had that not happened, then seb would have been second. it was a foul up by rbr, and not their first this year. but vettel did not go backwards from actual racing. as for his start, have a look again, yes he was slow off the line, but he was also squeezed wide, just as others were too

mustafur. have a look at the lap times! when they were on the same tyres etc, seb was faster. rbr went for two stops for vettel and one stop for dr, after finding out the tyres were holding up well. so as i said earlier, seb lost the best part of 60 secs for a pit stop and behind ferdi. and he very nearly pulled it off! many teams try differing strategies, some work, some dont. thats life, i guess.

oldnail. yes dr had one less pit stop (28+ secs) , and vettel was held up by alonso (who admitted that vettel was 2 secs a lap faster) and lost between 20-30 secs, and after passing alonso, he was rapidly catching button and dr. yes, dr was fortunate that yres lasted so well, but he has also said that they had gone off and he was dropping back. the race was the race and results cannot be altered, but to say that vettel was soundly beaten is just plain incorrect. but the fault lies with rbr who pitted seb at the wrong time, allowing him to be passed by alonso. but such is f1. you win some and you lose some.

F1 » Bianchi replaces Raikkonen at Ferrari for test

wow. seems to be a bit of hate going on around kimi now! there was nothing wrong with kimi rejoining the track as he was coming back on a very narrow angle, with adequate room. the problem was that his car hit a drainage gulley and was thrown in the air. after that, he was just a passenger. it was unfortunate, but if anyone thinks that it was deliberate and merited a penalty, they need their head examined. back to topic. it is good to see bianchi getting aferari test, but unfortunately the car is so poor, that it will be hard to really judge him.
