F1 » Rosberg wins but Hamilton recovers to third

breeza. i am not overlooking anything. it is not my opinion that the macca was the best overall, but all the acknowledged experts. as i said, go through old autosport mags, where they compare cars race to race and overall during the year. macca came out tops in two of the four years, yet lulu still managed to be no better than 4 th or 5 th in the wdc. so how is it that the "best drier" (as defined by his fanboys) cannot win in the best car? he was even beaten by ferdi in an abysmal ferrari?

F1 » Red Bull surprised by Mercedes brake change

old git. so are you saying that in future, any team now has the right to change brake material without penalty, if done in parc ferme. horner is right to be aggreived as merc spent last year trying to catch rbr out over everything that they did. the material was not changed for safety reasons. lulu was using brembo material on the front, and ci material on the back. there was no problem with the ci discs, so why the need to change, other than to alter performance?

F1 » Red Bull surprised by Mercedes brake change

breeza. you are advised not to use different linings on the same axle, but there is absolutely no reason why you cannot run different pads etc on different axles. when your mum gets her front disc pads changed, it is extremely unlikely that the rear pads will also be changed, as they last two or three times longer than the fronts. in f1, front and rear brakes run at different temperatures due to different loadings, thus requiring different materials! remember the calls to alter brake balance to try and protect either front or rear brakes?
