F1 » Ricciardo not worried by Red Bull engine uncertainty

i am not sure what the argument is about. so far vw have been fined nothing, but they FACE a fine of UP TO 18bn in the states. winterkorn is refusing to say if any european cars were involved, but will only say that all euro 6 cars comply. european countries are looking at the impact of possible lost revenue, as i mentioned before. who knows what the outcome will be? who knows how many vehicles are involved, but i reckon that ALL diesel cars built from 2007 to 2015 have the same software. george. the judge is not really a source to rely on!

F1 » Rossi defies radio silence to defeat Stevens on debut

taz. you memeory is obviously not as good as mine. i actually said that ricciardo should get a chance in f1, but driving a hrt was not the way to go about it. i also said he is not wdc material, and i still believe that. but this is about rossi, all he had to do to let others pass him was to pull to the side and drive slowly, just as stevens did, but what did he do? he jumped over kerbs at "racing " speeds, and back on to the track, nearly t-boning others. something he has done in gp2 on occasions. even merhi was better at letting others pass.

F1 » Ricciardo not worried by Red Bull engine uncertainty

Taz: VW's current ceo who was pro F1 will probably be gone by the end of the week. Joining F1 sends out the completely wrong message to shareholders. I can't see if happening and if RBR and holding a gun to Ferrari's head for a full works spec 2016 engine then Ferrari should tell them where to go. Tell them to give Craig Pollock a ring. RBR leaving F1 will be damaging but they lost a lot of goodwill after their public tarring and feathering of Renault. They may regret that still.
taz. the public berating was well deserved! but apparently renault are trying to maintain the rbr link. they need it. talks are still ongoing to try and rescue the situation.

F1 » Horner coy on VW-Red Bull speculation

MrJones85: Maybe, VW buying them out is for the best. Then we wouldn't have to deal with Mateshitz threatening to pull out every couple months.
get real! didi has done more for motorsport than any other person, ever. but he is pragmatic. if f1 is not of an advantage to his marketing, then of course he has to consider pulling out. he is not there to save f1! that is someone elses responsibility. and i said months ago, vw will not be returning to f1. even without this latest faux pas there are also rumours that vw were not alone in cheating the emissions tests.

george. as i said, vw COULD be fined up to 18bn. funny, as i am typing this, sky have just said exactly the same thing. they COULD be fined 18 bn$ vw have sold 2.250,000 diesels in europe this year alone! so the possible repercussions for them here is ginormous. apart from the fine, there could also be cases taken by individual countries concerning their loss of taxes etc. special meeting of vw tonight and winterkorn has lost the backing of the board.
