F1 » Ferrari calls for meeting on F1 future

rob. to me, soccer and f1 do not go together, so moving goalposts means nothing to me! but seriously, each year, there are specific regs, whether or not we like them. i dont see any reason to "move goalposts" as when one team dominates, it is up to others to catch up. this has always been the situation. and already, others are catching up on the mercs. but i do know how upset you are at the ferrari situation, and that it is affecting your idol ferdi, so i can understand why you are so much in favour of equalising the field, and making f1 into a spec series.

F1 » Alonso hints at Ferrari Le Mans entry

jed. i dont think that nissan will be in lmp1? probably gte. lmp is for prototypes and not modified road cars. however, i think that some of the best sports prototype days were at the time of the ferrari/ford/ porsche battles with 5-7 L monsters. the ferrari p3 and p4 were fabulous looking machines, as was the 917. but then fia began to dumb it down to 3 L cars, and ferrari really lost interest. they still field cars in gte under the name of a sub team, and do quite well. as these cars are related to cars that they sell, they get far more benefit from this then from f1. i would love to see ferrari being synonymous with lmp once again. well, i can dream.....

F1 » Ferrari calls for meeting on F1 future

mb. ridiculous statement by you. isnt it odd that people like luca, and adrian before him were all saying that f1 holds no real interest to them any more. luca has stated that an economy formula has little interest to ferrari, and he sees far more benefit to the marque from competing in lmp. and frankly, i agree. ferrari make sports cars, not fiat 500s

F1 » McLaren drivers keen to make Austrian experience count

walrus. honda could well have pulled off a masterstroke by delaying their entry. they are able to see where merc have gained their splitting of compressor and mgu-k etc. so even if they had not gone down that avenue themselves, they have toe opportunity to completely re design their overall pu. and IF the freeze is maintained, ferrari and renault will not have a hope in hell of catching up. however, there may be something in the rumours that i am hearing, that there could be a major rethink generally on the rules about the pu, well before 2021! fingers crossed.
