F1 » Nasr top for Sauber as McLaren finishes early

a number of other teams were also using supersofts and empty tanks. but look at his earlier times when he was not on softs etc, and was on long runs...he was consistently fastest! there are three factors to consider....one, the driver , two, the improved ferrari pu,.....and three, the improved sauber. i think that it is a combo of all three, i doubt that a flash fast lap would attract new sponsors, but a resurgence of competivity will.

F1 » Vettel marks Ferrari F1 debut with top time

izybluffen: Honestly, I thought everybody except rookies knew testing means nothing.
izzy. no doubt you are making an oblique reference to me? and i have posted. however i am not a immature enough to be a fanboy of anybody. i leave that the the girsl ! but i appreciate a good driver when he appears. i backed schumi all the way when he was the receiver of vitriol too! i would also appreciate the likes of kvyat too, as i reckon he is a star in the making. experienced commenters know that testing means zilch, and i have said this for yonks! but what i have commented on is the consistency of vettel in the ferrari, pointing out that it is consistency that wins wdcs, not one lap wonders.

F1 » Red Bull reveals striking new RB11

janhein: with the quality of photo or even video today the camouflage idea is not really serious i presume?
actually the camouflage does a very good job of disguising shapes and curves. what is hard to see from the photos, is a rather unique shaping of the lower side pods! and another thing. two days ago, there were claims that the car hadnt passed crash test......!

F1 » Mercedes officially uncovers title-defending W06

MrJones85: @ goldenoldie I disagree with you and I'm an American. I don't think Merc was trying to set the fastest lap time. I'm pretty sure it was long runs and mileage they were concentrating on. Raikkonen set the pace at the first test last year and look where he ended up.
im not american, and i think that ferrari, red bull, sauber etc etc were not trying to set fastest time either! you cannot just take one team and say they werent trying! all teams would be looking for consistency in times, rather than fastest, and if you compare actual imes, you will actually find that ferrari were amazingly consistent. that is what wins a race, not getting a fastest lap!
