F1 » What we learned at the Monaco Grand Prix

ptolemy. grid boys? i wasnt watching before the race, but i thought i saw girls with the number boards. were my eyes deceiving me? and talking about rolex...did you notice that lulu had a picture of one on the wrist of his glove? but what did we learn? ... lulu is having another meltdown. i commented on his bad natured gesticulating in quali . then he was arrogant before the race, not to mention what he was like after the race........is his mind going again?

F1 » Rosberg wins Monaco GP after Hamilton pit blunder

i couldnt be bothered to read all the comments. so these may have been mentioned earlier. lulu was controlling the race and was a tad unlucky , partly his teams fault and partly his own. his team said they didnt know what the gap was to nico...????????? but there have been races before where bad pit calls and/or sc have affected the outcome. what was disgusting was lulus display of petulance. and even before the start, when the monagasque anthem was being played, he was jumping around, checking his hair, and putting on his cap before the anthem was over. and even at the end, vettel was actually pulling away from him conts

F1 » Rosberg wins Monaco GP after Hamilton pit blunder

Soundofspeed: I like how he congratulated Nico this year and actually didn't blame his team on the interview. "We win as a team and we lose as a team." Nice. He was clearly gutted but bounced back right away and composed himself. He also explained that he advised his team of his tires thinking that Nico had pitted. Nothing wrong with pitting but Toto stated that the team clearly miscalculated the gap that Lewis had by 3 seconds.
so, nico was behind lulu and lulu pitted because he "thought" nico had pitted. but then he claims the team ordered him in?????? and with vettel behind him and with it so hard to pass in monaco, did he not even think that if seb stayed out,, he would still have been behind him? of course he couldnt blame the team for his own mistake...could he? oh and by the way, isnt it illegal to stop out on the track after a race? he is meant to return immediately to parc ferme.

F1 » Hamilton: You rely on the team...

Wiseguy: An Alonso or a Vettel would never have risked their lead at the late stage of the race on a track where overtaking is almost impossible no matter what the pit said. Lulu pitted without stress as he was following the pace car. I blame team management fairly and squarely. LH is an amazing driver who is almost always soft spoken and humble.
you were going great when you say that ferdi or seb wouldnt have risked their lead. the simple fact is that lulu is not ferdi or seb. he didnt use his head! so must accept some or most of the !"blame" then you really lost me with your last sentence! humble? soft spoken? since when?

tcrook21: I am an airline pilot. You are trained to obey air traffic control without question. They are able to see the full picture and situation on they're far more sophisticate radar system. My plane (type rated B757/767) has a far less limited radar system. So if ATC tells you to climb, or descend, and you don't understand why. You will still comply with ATC instructions. They can see the full picture, and the plane can not. I think Hamilton reacted the same way any sensible pilot would react.
what an idiotic comment. when i fly my 380, i actually look after the safety of my passengers, so if i am flying towards a mountain and atc tell me to maintain altitude, would it be wrong of me to disobey them and climb to get above the mountain?

Moriarty7: Further to above, but as an "old hand" I think I can remember a certain "Rosberg" as being anything but "German"? I know that in such sports as football and cricket and such like, nationality extends to some two or three years (or is it less?), but surely Nico takes the nationality of his dad?
not that old chestnut again? nico was born in germany, of a german mother, so he has every right to be called german. not that it makes an iota of difference
