F1 » Hamilton: What is Alonso thinking?

FVA47: It,s all well and good saying that Honda is the largest engine manufacturer in the world - have they the same commitment to the project?
yes honda is the largest ENGINE manufacturer in the world, and there has not been any complaint about the ENGINE. why can some not differentiate between an ENGINE and a PU. the ENGINE is the turbo powered ICE, and the rest of the pu is not by honda. (even the turbo is not hondas!) but it is the integration between the two that is the problem. by all means blame macca for the current state, but blaming honda is madness. it will not be long before they get things right and ferdi will be up there challenging, ....and then you will be slating ferdi!

F1 » Wolff ‘worried’ by Ferrari turn of pace

Racemaster: I have indeed seen the lap times. And Rosberg's fastest lap was 1.5 seconds faster than Vettel to say nothing of the rest of the field!
siiggghhh! yes, nico was that much faster than vettel on one lap. now look at the times for every lap. they were equal on most laps, with one faster than the other at different times, depending on fuel loads, tyres etc. and remember when nico had that fast lap, he was told that he was using too much fuel. he could not maintain that difference. if he could have, he would have been 80 secs or so ahead of vettel at the end, and he wasnt! in fact, he was also faster than lulu. so that makes him better ! comprendez?

F1 » First Ferrari win ‘means a little bit extra’ for Vettel

rob01: Using the same stupid logic one could say last year Vettel started the downturn of Red Bull.
no. look at their history BEFORE vettel. when seb arrived on the scene, he created the upturn. but it was only when ricciardo arrived that the downturn started! and didnt seb win 4 wdcs whilst with rbr, whilst lulu only won one (with a hell of a lot of outside help) for macca.

F1 » Hamilton: What is Alonso thinking?

thunderbuggy: with an engine in the back built by a company who has NEVER built a hybrid, turbocharged Formula 1 engine??? And I don't care if their name IS Honda! The motor ain't workin'ahea
pray tell me, from your vast experience of f1, WHO, prior to 2014, had ever built a turbocharged hybrind pu for f1 previously? this is going to be fun! and in fact, honda have been running turbocharged engines for 30 odd years. and were also the first to produce a hybrid engine! sigh....some people.....!!!

F1 » First Ferrari win ‘means a little bit extra’ for Vettel

whitew64: Mercedes have an upturn in fortune when Hamilton joins, Ferrari have an upturn when Vettel joins. Coincidence NO, they are drivers that talk to the mechanics and get the best from the car. McLarens down turn due to Hamilton leaving and Button not being able to set the car up. After all McLaren had the best engine last year and still had lackluster performances. McLaren's biggest mistake last year was sticking with Button.
if lulu was so good, then why was he not able to do better than 4 th or 5 th after 2008? he was the start of their downturn.

F1 » Ecclestone on European races: Whatever goes, goes

TFloyd: Yes Richard, I am a fan of F1. That's why I'm proposing this solution. The only way to rid ourselves of brain fart Bernie and CVC is to devalue the sport so that it is uneconomical for them. They are a investment group, when the investment is not profitable they will get out!
it is not the paying public that bring in the money, so there is absolutely no use boycotting a race. it is not the tv audience that bring in the money, that is why sky have a smaller audience than bbc, but still pay more. it is the advertisers who fill the coffers as well as the countries concerned as it brings vast amounts of income to the relevant country! so, dont watch if you dont want to, but bernie will not care in the slightest!

F1 » First Ferrari win ‘means a little bit extra’ for Vettel

ghogmk2:
PominOz: Totally off topic here, but did anyone else have a bit of a giggle when they saw how over-sized Vettel's race suit is? Makes him look like a 5 year old boy wearing his Dad's overalls! (Not detracting from him, or the race, just having a bit of a laugh!)
I noticed that, thought he looked a bit like Giles V !
surely you meant jacques ??
