F1 » Hamilton takes second F1 title with Abu Dhabi win

Don Hopings:
have you even read the poem? you should, then you wouldnt use it!
Did you want to see me broken? Bowed head and lowered eyes? Shoulders falling down like teardrops. Weakened by my soulful cries. ----- You may shoot me with your words, You may cut me with your eyes, You may kill me with your hatefulness, But still, like air, I'll rise.
now try verse 7! diamonds in his ears and elsewhere?

F1 » Hamilton takes second F1 title with Abu Dhabi win

congrats to lulu. his second wdc, but basically an easy one for various reasons, so to call it deserved is a tad over the top. nevertheless, he scored the most points and that is what matters. pity flip could not make up those vital few secs before the end!!! but in reality, this was one of the most boring races of the season, and i dont often make that comment.

F1 » Red Bulls to start from pit lane

sunny. it is still a lot of speculation at present. but apparently the wings passed the designated load test, at scruitineering. if the talk is true, it is the bracket for the upper plane of the front wing. but it is most odd, on another site, the movement of this bracket on the mercs was openly talked about and discussed. and video showed their front wing bending flatter at speed. and on the macca, apart from a similar item on their wing, there was a rubber spacer block between the pylon and wings, allowing air pressure to push down the rear of the wing in a lateral twisting motion! it would be interesting if the other front running teams were checked as well. to pick on one team is a bit odd. there is more behind this story than meets the eye!

ramjam 69: There was no way he was going to get points, had a damaged car, and as for the safety car, if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle, Richard. He knew it, the team knew it, save the engine....
oh come on! why therefore, does m4xie keep going, or koba, or ericcson or etc etc. a proper racer will not give up even if they think that they are not going to get points!

F1 » Alonso hits back at Mattiacci comments

interesting rumours. mattiacci is being replaced and ross brawn is coming back. marchionne is, as suspected, only the temp head man, and with ferrari buying out of fiat, mattiacci was put in as a hatchet man to remove a lot of dead wood. so the new team would be led by the new chap (cant remember his name!) and brawn will be the team manager. somehow, i think that these rumours will in essence be true.......

lulu was driving a healthy car that was 4-5 secs a lap faster than most of the field, so he could easily have finished in the points. further, if there was a sc car , he would be in the train behind the leader, and would have had little trouble getting up to 3 or 4! funny how vettel was out of the points in brazil, yet continued and finished 5th !
4-5 seconds faster? where was that come from? he was struggled to get pass a Sauber or something, he knew even there is a SC, he will not making progress.
if you say so!!!!

F1 » F1: Red Bull excluded from qualifying

Taipan: Richard, The telling point is that the stewards have said it was "designed to flex" they're accusing Newey of intentionally designing it to flex is my reading of the ruling rather than it being a mistake in design or manufacture. IF that is true why would he wait until the last race of the season to do it?
ty...true! and i wonder if the "action" was taken in retaliation for horner calling for a move to a different engine so as to get one back on mercs refusal to allow upgrading? i think that every team does their best to control flexing which is inevitable, and use it to their advantage

BushTurkey: "some rumours suggest that an element of the front wing was mounted on a rubber clad leaf spring allowing the element to flex downwards at high speed and thus reducing drag." Rather more blatant than the inbuilt flex of carbon fibre parts.
rumour? where did you hear that one? if fitted to a leaf spring, it would not withstand the load test! in fact , other teams use a rubber buffer between the pylons and the main plane of the wing. but the supposed problem with the wing was the end plate hitting the tarmac at the front. hardly as a result of the rear flattening out!
