F1 » Smedley: Alonso not a disruptive character

it was reported that ferdi had signed a letter of interest or intent, with macca , as far back as easter. since then, he has repeatedly criticised ferrari, even earning a rebuke from di montezemelo. around that time, ferrari started talking to vettel. it really looks as if ferdi was deliberately stirring things up so as to force ferrari to let him go with a big pay-off. ferrari called his bluff, and left him with no option but to decide himself to go. so his "blackmail" failed.

F1 » Raikkonen hints at extended F1 stay with Ferrari

taz. i think that ferrari were so intent on pandering to ferdi, that they gave his car more emphasis. unfortunately it was the same when massa was there. to them there was too much emphasis on the number 1. possibly the fault of di monte, as it was the norm during his tenure. hopefully the new broom will refocus the focus on the wcc with BOTH cars, as was the desire of enzo.

F1 » Ecclestone in talks over Las Vegas F1 race

theeagle: @JohnMarston Fully agree, we need another European race and the French GP would be a welcome return particularly Paul Ricard Circuit which I understand Bernie owns.
i think that if bernie planned a race for paul ricard, this site would be inundated with many claiming that bernie was lining his own pocket! i am sure that if france really wanted a race, then bernie would consider it, but the backers need to have the money. so far, no circuit has come up with the funds, or even requested to hold a race.

F1 » Horner: Engine unfreeze important for F1

AyrtonSenna: Difference is you can modify your car and chassis throughout the year, no penalties. You use too many effing motors and you penalised. Red bull have used all of sebs allocation trying to get the most out of it.
no you cannot modify your chassis during the year. but you can change aero as they are add-on parts. and pus can be modified within some limits

F1 » Prost’s shock at FIA in Japan

stevo. of course it matters. there was a suggestion that jules had no notice of the yellows. as regards visibility? it wasnt even wet enough for full wets, and drivers said that they were more than happy to drive in the conditions. and as i said, all along, and fia confirmed it, jules backed off MORE than most other drivers jules wasnt trying to improve his position, and frankly that falls into the same nasty comments made by bild. you should edit that accusation out of your post. finally as for a race controlled limiter? that wont happen. far too dangerous to have a car suddenly slowing in front of another

F1 » Prost’s shock at FIA in Japan

StevoG: Its a great tragedy and we cannot blame anyone, maybe JB didn't see the double yellow flags waving as the Adrian Sutil's Sauber accident happened so soon before JB lost control and collided with the tractor. Very tragic and I wish Jules a speedy recovery and all the best of a recovery from this bad accident.
did you not read the fia statement, or other posts on this topic? jules DID back off, and more so than many others. so he was fully aware of the yellows. apart from that, there are lights on his dash panel to warn him. but the question i posed earlier, was why did jules go off at 212 kph, and chilton didnt at 243 kph? possibly jules tyres were worn down with little tread remaining, and providing less water dispersal and therefore aquaplaning at a lower speed????

F1 » Marussia F1 Team ‘shocked and angered’ by Bianchi reports

stevenmann67:
grantrd: Wow that's unbelievable from the media..........they have no shame. More than likely a British tabloid, they have a habit of printing lies and making up stories to sell their rubbish........
First up, you're full of 'hot air' - any proof it was a British tabloid? ... thought not! Secondly, that story really made me want to rush out and buy the newspaper, NOT. As Martin Brundle would say, "get real".
it was in BILD, and then repeated in the british tabloids.
