so light??? there was only 3 kilos between seb and your number two driver, with only 7 kilos less than your number one driver. hardly an earthshattering difference. are you getting worried that your advantage has disappeared???

Button: McLaren 'will be tough to beat' in 2010.
1 agrees.
3 disagree.
2pac.simple economics. as johnson has already pointed out, mclaren will be a customer team, meaning they will have to buy engines as opposed to getting 80m (i think) from merc. also they are losing a major sponsor, santander. this will knock a huge hole in their finances, unless they find a new large sponsor, to make up the shortfall.

Ecclestone gives Silverstone final deadline to save British GP
1 agrees.
is this the final, final, final, final extension?? and as for bernies recession proof 7% per year, i reckon he is banking on the economy NOT to recover, just so he can make more cash than anyone else!

just heasrd that button visited brackley yesterday for last time (still cant go to mclaren until 31 dec??) and was met with quite a bit of anger and some boos. so he is not leaving under good terms! as regards 2010. nobody has any idea yet what the pecking order will be between teams. (who would have thought that honda and rbr would be top for 2009) so all projections are only guesses at this time. dont forget, mclaren will be seriously short of money. apart from no cash from merc, havent they lost santander for 2010, or are they remaining for another year?

Button: I moved for the challenge, not the money
11 agree.
17 disagree.
button made a wrong call, expecting mclaren to better brawns offer. they didnt, but brawn pulled the carpet from under buttons feet, so button had no option but to sign with mclaren. whats the old saying?? you reap what you sow. he is now tryig to show a brave face.

sorry jack, i should have written mclaren rather than merc. old habits die hard! i have amended original comment. taz. honda didnt just bankroll the 2009 brawn, they designed and built it!

Donington Park lease-holder DVLL put into administration

1 disagrees.
andrew, i dont need to resort to your tricks! there is no name change. i am using a new computer that didnt automatically log me on, thats why i said "sorry ". please use your grey matter! you specifically mentioned wheatcroft. it was not a GENERAL remark, it was personal. i dont see an apology from you for your insensitivity. but then, i suppose i shouldnt expect that from you.

Donington Park lease-holder DVLL put into administration

andrew, that is a scurrilous remark about the wheatcrofts, especially as tom has just passed away. shame on you! tom worked extremely hard to create a race track, and also acted as mentor for the late roger williamson. he was devoted to the track and leased it to dvll who he hoped would continue the work that he started. his trust was misplaced, but i would imagine that the wheatcroft family will do their utmost to ensure the track remains. you really should start reading the history of tracks before you make wild statements such as this.. as i said, shame on you!
