I think that the fact that these quotes came from 'The Sun' newspaper(?) says it all really. Who believes anything they read in there?

(Sorry you lot obviously do)

Dean Dean. You are correct of course 2006 Hungarian GP. Luckily Crash must read comments cos they've corrected the story there.

Cont....From the Euro Ncap (European New Car Assessment Program)Website In November of 1996, the Swedish National Road Administration (SNRA), the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and International Testing were the first organisations to join the programme. This resulted in Euro NCAP being formed. Its inaugural meeting was held in December 1996. www .euroncap .com/history.aspx

Sorry Geno... The FIA has, in collaboration with other associations done a lot for road safety in the world, introducing 'crash testing' and numerous road safety campaigns. Not sure what affect it has in the US but in Europe it has had a big affect on making road cars safer during accidents. YES I know the manufacturers have had to build the things, but the FIA instigated the crash tests to improve the safety aspect.

Max Mosley would only back Jean Todt for FIA President if he 'has gone even more mad', But we all know he's going to back Todt anyway, he's been saying so for a while now... Does that mean he is mad?.... I don't believe that for one minute.

Will it make any difference? MM and BE will just refuse the BBC pitlane access, has even been known for commentators (and team owners - Eddie Jordan as I recall)to be denied access to the circuit.... after 2009 we won''t have a British GP anyway. Fed up with all of this. Going to disappear for a while again now. Have fun.

As for $1 million dollars for the fastest in practice, where is the point? are the teams going to stop thinking about the settings and just try to get the quickest car on a friday? I doubt it.... Practice is, as it states, for trying things out, setting up the car under differing fuel loads, wing settings etc and is NOT about the fastest car (does anybody actually take any real notice of the practice times?) IF BE wants to give OUR (We pay to watch) money away, make it for the fastest lap in QUALIFYING where (in Q1 and Q2) the drivers WILL be driving as fast as their cars can manage, OR fastest laptime in the race

Why not change the points structure completely? Maybe 1 point for 20th place to 5 points for 15th, 10 points for 14th to 14 points for 10th, 20 points for 9th place to 24 points for 5th then 40 points for 4th 45 for 3rd, 50 for second and 60 for first. All drivers/cars that finish score points, there is the advantage that the lower teams now have a base to show which of the back runners are better (instead of the last 2 or 3 teams scoring 0 at the end of the season)also gives them something to aim for. AND should increase racing throughout the field, If a driver is going to score an extra 5 points by passing someone for 14th place rather than scoring 0 whether he finishes 14th or 15th

Sunny, calm down a bit. The sentence about ''gull a flying pig'' makes no sense in English. I''m sure it does in your own language but does not translate into English very well.... That''s all no complaint against you

@ Tony about 2 hours ago. My comment on another thread regarding comments by Eddie Jordan "I also noticed in the story (not attributed to anyone I see) "– as it is reported that some drivers are still unhappy about the clarity of the situation." So all the drivers KNOW and AGREE that Lewis was wrong and dserved the penalty even though THEY still don''t understand the rule themselves.... what else can I say... stupidity and ignorance at it''s best Posted by Shirley Knott (6 hours ago)"
