Casey is exceptionally quick but, like everyone else on the track, he falls short of the racecraft of Valentino. I've never seen anyone else like him. Perfect strategy and perfect execution. Incredible.

Rossi's home run revives 2005 form.

And now I wish I read the second page of comments before regurgitating pretty much exactly what Da Rock said. Soz. I'm not going to say Rossi is the GOAT because I only started watching when Doohan was racing, but he's the greatest I've seen. Stoner doesn't have the outrageous racing lines/passing moves of Rossi, but he is very talented, very fast, and still young. Of course, I'm Aussie so I'll admit to bias there.

Honestly, people who say Stoner can only ride a Ducati have no idea what they're talking about. In 250s, he rode Aprilia and came second to Pedrosa on a Honda when Honda was the dominant bike (4 out of the top rode Honda). In his first year in MotoGP on a SATTELITE Honda, he managed a pole, second place, and nine top 6 finishes. And yes, he dominated last year on a Ducati that has made a fool of every other rider on it. If you missed his list of achievements in the recent article here, feel free to educate yourselves.

Okay. Where's the real Gina and what have you done to her?
De Angelis' was the ride of the day on a day of several great rides, IMO. If he takes that sort of performance to other tracks, he might be a challenger to Dovizioso for Hayden's seat next year
Rossi looks in ominous form for the title. So quick, so consistent. What a legend.

Stoner: It should have been me!

He's saying the bike was good enough, but he was not. And that's not good enough for you? But Melandri is blaming the bike, and that's okay. And Edwards is blaming Melandri and that's okay. Face it. If he did the same as either of those two, he'd be vilified. And if either of those two said what Stoner did, they'd be considered gracious.

I swear, some folks around here only read the (often misleading) headline and not the article. He's saying that he should have got pole, but didn't because he made a mistake. Contrast this to last race's article about Colin Edwards titled "It was my fault" whereby he admitted it was his fault for running wide *in one corner*, but went on to blame his bike and the weather for his poor result. Yet he is praised on the forum for being honourable. It's a bit pathetic, really.

"I rode as hard as I could and I'm tired of saying it, but I could not do anything else. We just missed something in the package today." "It just wasn't going to happen today. I wanted the temperature to be cooler but maybe not as cool as it was." I like Colin, but I have to point out to some folk here that he isn't exactly taking _all_ the blame.

Race results - Shanghai.

Classic Rossi today. Fast, but with enough to spare for when the time is right. A great ride. Good for Marco that he's found a setting that works for him. Will expect him to keep Casey honest from now on. With a fit JL and an in-form Pedrosa, what a season it's shaping up to be.

Stoner 'nothing to fear', Melandri happy.
1 agrees.
Oh, I knew the answer, silly thing. I was just trying to gauge your intellectual level against a child. You can relax though. You are at least as smart as a four-year-old. Now we're dragging this thread to new lows. I'll let you have one more cheap dig (sans cheap response), then we'll let this thread go back to the Stoner-bashing.

I'm guessing that you're often surprised, Dice.
