Rus the Bus,
Dennis has confirmed that the team ADVISED LH OF THE RED LIGHT.
He SHOULD have seen the light.
He SHOULD have seen TWO large-as-life F1 cars stopped at the end of the lane.
He SHOULD have listened when his team told him the light was red.
and...
He SHOULD have offered a genuine apology the way KR did to Sutil in Monaco.
But I guess if you call it the way it is on this board, you get accused of being a hater.

Lewis: This is when it starts.
1 agrees.
Mark I used FA to illustrate my point - that I may not be a fan of his, but I maintain some amount of objectivity in my posts and don't let them degenerate to the point where FA is the devil incarnate, and LH is mankind's savior. My post was completely about LH, but I mentioned FA in the context of F1. There's nothing wrong with mentioning another driver in the post, as long as you maintain some objectivity and rationality. I still maintain that's hardly adding fuel to the fire. However, since your posts have been courteous and non-personal i have no problem with your opinion.

Mark, my entire point is that i have an opinion, but I don't go overboard with it. I may believe that Alonso played dirty last year, but I still respect his talent. In fact I posted just that on another thread. You call that "adding fuel to the fire"? I think not. The problem as I see it is that there is that most posts boil down to alonso v/s hamilton, even if the article was about something else.

Alonso: We will not go forwards much.
5 agree.
Ive been watching F1 for almost 20 years now, and 2007 was the one of THE best seasons I have ever watched. The 3 best drivers on the grid all went head to head down to the last race. How does it get better than that? Whether you love Alonso or hate him, he's a good driver. One of the best on the current grid, in fact. So the bottom line is that F1 is at its best when the top drivers are all competing with each other on more or less equal terms. I'm not a fan of alonso, but my point is that this season would be better if Kimi, Lewis and Alonso could all fight for the honors, with BMW throwing the odd punch as well.

I'm SO tired of the hypocrisy in the F1-watching world. Everything boils down to Lewis Hamilton, and it's so tedious. I'm a KR fan but I've got nothing against Hamilton. Yes, he's egotistic. Yes, he needs to learn some humility. Yes, there are people who think the sun shines out of his ass. And yes, he's also fast. And yes, considering his nascent career he's done exceedingly well. And yes, he's charismatic and politically correct, most of the time. What has he done to offend so many people so badly? His dice with Alonso last year? He did what he had to do to win, and in my mind, Alonso was the one who played dirty. Can we just all take a deep breath and take our spotlights of this guy?

Drivers worried about 'dangerous' slicks.

I cant believe some of the ludicrous posts here claiming that the drivers should just shut up and cope. The fact that the cars will be 10 secs slower on the outlap has nothing to do with driver capability - it has EVERYTHING to do with the limitation of the technology. Regardless of how gifted a driver you are, you can't overcome the physical limitations of these cold tyres when compared to ones that are at race temperature!! Another thing - the very premise of banning tyre warmers for cost reasons is asinine. What percentage of an F1 team's budget goes towards these things? It's probably too small to even count. Yet another case of the FIA not being able to see the wood from the trees.

Ferrari 'horrified' by nose leak story.
Chris, I don't see how I'm missing the point - I think you've misunderstood what I was saying.... note that i used the phrase 'post-release', to convey that once something is released in an open environment (testing / race) then it's open season as far as other teams are concerned. There's absolutely nothing illegal about that. You've basically agreed in your post with pretty much everything I was saying ....

Ferrari 'horrified' by nose leak story.
Tech being shared post-release is always going to happen.... Ferrari's rear diffusers, their exhaust vent philosophy, Mclaren's viking horns, Mclaren chassis design cues (from the Newey days).... these are just a few things that have conveniently found there way onto other cars. I remember one article that was published a few years ago that showed how the Jag was basically a poor copy of the Mclaren. And now, at Barca, Renault has copied Red Bull's shark fin, Honda has copied those revolting little winglets on BMW's nose (and turned them into what look like bunny ears).

Massa sets blistering pace in Spain.

Chris, The 'queen's english'?? Could you BE more imperialist? Not cool. Taking umbrage at some oaf's uninformed, half-assed and poorly expressed opinion is one thing, but then condescending to pick on the fact that his english doesn't meet your standards is something else entirely. This is hardly the forum for that kind of thing.

Barcelona test times - day one: 14 April.

Ron, I dont necessarily agree with you abt Barca being a foregone conclusion, but hypothetically, if you're right, who would you give the trophy to? Kimi or Massa?
