Rus the Bus,

Dennis has confirmed that the team ADVISED LH OF THE RED LIGHT.

He SHOULD have seen the light.
He SHOULD have seen TWO large-as-life F1 cars stopped at the end of the lane.
He SHOULD have listened when his team told him the light was red.
and...
He SHOULD have offered a genuine apology the way KR did to Sutil in Monaco.

But I guess if you call it the way it is on this board, you get accused of being a hater.

Finally a thread without the trolls who claim that Kimi 'cheated' by using the runoff through La Source. What a bunch of sorry whinging losers. I've wasted SO much time trying to counter their BS, but I realize now I shouldn't have bothered. Andrewm and Awalker... nice to see some intelligent posters. Kudos, and may your tribes grow. :)

Ironic how everyone here calling Kimi a cheat for using the runoff at La Source has conveniently forgotten that Button did it as well. So did Badoer. In 2008, Hamilton did it too. Is Hamilton also in a 'red car?' Are Button and Badoer also cheats? Kimi said in the post-race conf that he was alongside Trulli at La Source, who got pushed wide by Heidfeld. He had no choice but to use the runoff to avoid Trulli broadsiding him from the right. He also said its extremely bumpy and NOT the fastest way around. But I guess he MUST be lying, right? And then everyone moans about no overtaking, but when Kimi shows savvy and guts to pull something, then it's 'cheating'. Sod off, you mindless cretins.

Simon.... From my coverage it SEEMED like Kimi had already taken the spot from Fisichella (I could be wrong here) JUST as the the first corner pileup happened and the SC was coming out... I say this because just as the cars caught up with the SC, Kimi seemed to be first. He must've given it back to Fisi behind the SC... maybe the team asked him to do so to be prudent. I say this because I could have sworn I saw Kimi holding P1 behind the SC at some point... but I may be mistaken. Could be the reason why he won't get penalized. Who knows?? All I care about is that he gets to keep his win.:)

To the couple of people who suggested that Kimi 'cheated' by going off line at La Source... I'm betting you didn't say the same thing about Hamilton when he did it last year, did you? Bottom line... the runoff area at La Source is there for a reason. It's an acceptable runoff area. It's not a shortcut across a chicane... in fact it takes LONGER to go across the runoff than it does to hold the racing line because you're running wider. Kimi drove a PHENOMENAL race, and that's IT. Spa is the most challenging driver's circuit, and Kimi's won it four times in six years, thrice in inferior cars.

Why is Rubens being allowed to get away with this kind of driving? In almost every race where he's had to overtake other cars, he's banged wheels with them, and that's almost EVERY race this season. He's driven into Kimi's back wheels, Massa's, Trulli's and in this race his driving was nothing short of appalling. Those lunges he made on Kovy and Sutil were downright nasty. Why the hell isn't he being penalized for this kind of driving? Off topic: What a complete snoozefest this season's turning out to be. Banning in-season testing is completely farking retarded because you allow a team with an advantage like Brawn to maintain that advantage till it's too late.

I remember last year when there was adulation for this guy pouring out of the woodwork, I posted a comment on this board saying that he hadn't proven himself at all. He had the good fortune of having the best car on the grid by a long way, and I felt all the adulation for him was premature. Now that he's got a crap car, he's going absolutely nowhere. Time will tell, but I don't think that Hamilton will ever be considered one of the greats. He'll be one of those drivers like Hill and Villeneuve who won one championship in the best car and did nothing after that.

No Twobens. You really, really aren't. This will always be Barrichello's legacy. He'll always be remembered as a bridesmaid, an also-ran, a designated #2. This is probably the 5th year in his career where he's had the BEST machinery on the grid... four years with Ferrari and one year with Brawn. And he's got sweet nothing to show for it.

Boo. Hoo. I guess being mentored all his life by the biggest names in the field, having them pander to his every whim, blatantly favour him over his teammate, being paid millions of dollars, always (until 2009) having the best machinery on the grid, and having a pop starlet girlfriend....... it's a hard life, aint it?? I love how he lies to the authorities, then blames a colleague, gets away with it, then berates his team for his lack of current success.... and then plays the victim. This guy should be in politics, not F1.

Domenicalli IS the problem. A team leader should be a master strategist and tactician, and Domenicalli is neither. Yes, Kimi was reluctant to go out again in Q1 in Spain, but shouldn't the Team leader have had the final say? ...and Massa in Oz? ...and putting wets on Kimi's car in dry conditions? ...and Massa running out of fuel in Barca? At the end of the day, the buck stops with Domenicalli. RB and JT were so successful because they could think on their feet, adjust their strategy and pitstops, and pull a rabbit out of a hat when needed. This guy can barely pull his head out of his own ass.

Funny, but I'd think that truly humble people wouldn't go around stating that they were, in fact, humble.
