Rus the Bus,
Dennis has confirmed that the team ADVISED LH OF THE RED LIGHT.
He SHOULD have seen the light.
He SHOULD have seen TWO large-as-life F1 cars stopped at the end of the lane.
He SHOULD have listened when his team told him the light was red.
and...
He SHOULD have offered a genuine apology the way KR did to Sutil in Monaco.
But I guess if you call it the way it is on this board, you get accused of being a hater.

Ferrari admit Melbourne performance was 'not worthy'
How many times have they had to say something like this since Domenicalli took over? This guy has the depth of teaspoon when it comes to race strategy. He can offer up perhaps a fraction of what Brawn and Todt could do, and thats on a good day. They've started botching so many races, it's ridiculous. They make so many blunders and so many tactical and strategic errors that they're virtually unrecognizable from the perfect team that was run by Brawn and Todt. Those two nailed the strategy every single race, this guy is lucky if he can fluke it twice in a season.

Hamilton: One of my best drives – I raced my heart out
12 agree.
2 disagree.
I think it was a good, sensible, and mature drive from him. Yes, he was fortunate with a lot of brain-dead driving happening in front of him (Kimi, Kubica, Vettel, etc), but benefiting from other drivers' misfortune is part of F1. I just dont get why he has to declare it as one of his 'best drives ever'. I've lost count of the number of times he's said this. The guy has talent, no doubt, but the only thing that stops me from being a Hamilton fan is the constant 'Look at me! Look at me!' thing he's got going on. Learn from the greats, Lewis - Mika, Schu, Senna, Prost. If you want people to talk about you, you have to stop doing it yourself.

Vettel accepts blame for 'stupid' Kubica collision
4 agree.
1 disagrees.
I think Vettel is being a little over-apologetic here. As they approached the apex of the corner, they were side by side, and Kubica could've taken a wider line through the corner, but he chose to turn in sharply... which left Vettel nowhere to go. If you look at the replays, when they made contact, Vettel's right hand side wheels were already on the edge of the kerb. Where was he supposed go? I like both drivers, but to me, I think Kubica shut the door on Vettel before there was space to do so, and that took them out. In my opinion, if anyone should be apologizing, it should be Kubica.

Haug concedes: McLaren are 'far too slow'
10 agree.
What it comes down to is this... Are they sanbagging like a lot of people suspect they are? No. Will they manage to partly solve the issue and find some more speed in time for Oz? Yes. Will they find enough speed to come back to the front end of the grid? Probably not. Their aero is totally screwed. The rear wing isn't generating enough downforce, which is why they ran the 2008 wing until recently. I for one, despite being a Mclaren fan, am happy about this, because I'm DYING to see if Hamilton has what it takes to take a less-than-perfect car and make it punch above its weight. It's what guys like Kimi and Alonso can do, and I think it's time for Hamilton to prove that he can too.

Haug concedes: McLaren are 'far too slow'

Thanks Stivala. Its actually pretty self-evident. Two years in a row Hamilton's had the benefit of the best machinery on the grid when you look at performance & reliability as a single package. Now suddenly, he no longer has that advantage. It'll be interesting to see how he copes. I have no intention of stirring up a hornet's nest here, but I think with the new regs suiting drivers with smoother driving styles, I would give even odds that Kovy might even outperform him if Mclaren treat both of them equally. Time will tell.

Barrichello confirms Honda Alonso talks.
2 agree.
1 disagrees.
If Alonso, does go to Honda and they retain one of the two other drivers, who's it going to be? Button has accomplished nothing in his career in F1, but is still rated as a better driver than Barrichelo, so it could make sense for Honda to retain him. BUT... I don't see JB agreeing to play 2nd fiddle to FA, which is something FA would probably insist on. WHICH means that they'd probably retain RB since he's got tons of experience of being the 'b1tch' driver in the team. Which is why he quit Ferrari in the first place!! This is so ironic, it's priceless!

McLaren: Kovalainen will win again in '08.
2 agree.
If I was Ron, I really would NOT make predictions this season. After the 5th race, everyone was predicting that Ferrari were running away with the titles. Same thing after Magny Cours. Then, after Hockenheim, everyone predicted that Mclaren would run rings around the Ferraris in Hungary, and that they were 'untouchable'.... ...wrong on all counts. This season's been notoriously difficult to call, so Mclaren really need to avoid making grandiose statements like this.

Bourdais admits to continuing F1 troubles.
2 agree.
Bourdais' initially had the measure of Vettel at the start of the year, but the moment Vettel got his groove back, Bourdais has struggled. It's just possible that the baseline setup of the car is not something that agrees with Bourdais, so any tweaks he tries to make for his own personal setup are always going to be relatively ineffective. I don't think he's completely talentless, but he needs to sort out his issues pretty quickly. The driver churn and replacement in the middle teams is always pretty intense, so he's got a very short rope.

Alonso: Renault 'one of worst' in F1 in '08.
3 agree.
What a glowing tribute to the dozens of engineers and teammates busting a$$ day in and day out. If this is his attitude, and his deal with Honda is already inked, I'd ask him to pack his bags and leave right now. What a douche. This guy has no loyalty, no integrity, and no plain old simple decency. And btw, Alonso... if despite being an F1 driver you can't remember a team going coming from nowhere to win the championship in successive years, allow me to refresh your memory - Mclaren came from nowhere in '97 to win the championship in '98. Ring any bells?

Massa: Ferrari has no more excuses.
4 agree.
3 disagree.
Rich ard, No driver in the history of F1 has ever offered more excuses than Massa (except maybe Ralf). He had excuses for his crash at Oz, his inexplicable spin at Sepang, for losing pole at Spain, and the fact that he had more spins than a washing machine at Silverstone. The dude spent half the time pointing the wrong way, and still managed to find excuses absolving himself of blame. Hell, he EVEN had excuses BEFORE the season started moaning about no more TC, and how it's 'very dangerous'. I don't recall Kimi, Alonso, Hamilton, or Kubica moaning about the TC ban. Do you? Spike83 is right... given his own performances, he should have kept his mouth shut.
