Rus the Bus,

Dennis has confirmed that the team ADVISED LH OF THE RED LIGHT.

He SHOULD have seen the light.
He SHOULD have seen TWO large-as-life F1 cars stopped at the end of the lane.
He SHOULD have listened when his team told him the light was red.
and...
He SHOULD have offered a genuine apology the way KR did to Sutil in Monaco.

But I guess if you call it the way it is on this board, you get accused of being a hater.

Really, Stefano?? You've been comprehensively out-qualied in the last 5 races, and you're just realizing that you need to work on qualy pace and reliability? Blunders like the tire fiasco in Monaco, the tire fiasco in silverstone.... does anyone remember the last time Brawn/Todt made such consistent errors? Bottom line... Domenicalli isn't a patch on the Brawn / Todt combo. Ferrari have made one of the biggest blunders in F1 to let Brawn and Todt go. Their nepotistic promotion of Italians within the outfit is going to cost them huge.

Hey Demon, Nice to hear from you again. I've been kinda off the board for the las few weeks because I couldn't find a single original and intelligent thing being said, so there was no scope for any comment. Alas, I'm not going to be able to watch the Hungaroring. I'm moving house, so staying with a friend for a week or so and he doesn't get the Motorsport channel. :-( BARRY: Nothing wrong with your post. I remember seeing the same article.

Bulent, the sheer number of people on this board who disagree with your nonsensical posts should tell you something....

Bulent, no one even understands what 'problem + risk + mistake' means. Start talking coherently and lucidly and stop wasting other readers' time. As George2 has pointed out, there were a lot of factors that contributed to Schumacher's wins... a. Exclusive use of the team car b. Exclusive use of the best strategy c. The best mechanics & race engineers within the team d. A teammate hired to be his personal b|tch and rear-gunner for every single race of the season. Please explain how your so-called Solution+Logic covers any of these points. Im not saying he wasnt good... but he marred his legacy with his tactics and behavior on more than one occasion. You want to see a real champ? Mika.

Right on, Matt. The guy doesn't have the DEPTH that drivers like Raikkonen, Hamilton and Alonso have. he can be quick on Tilke circuits, but then again, only when he's leading from the front. His racecraft is poor, and he doesn't have the skill to race in tricky conditions. KR, LH, and FA all have the talent to take a sub-par car and wring every ounce of performance out of it, Massa doesn't. THAT is why he was signed as a number-2 driver to Schumacher. On merit, he would never have made the cut into a top team, much less win a championship.

Mclaren has suddenly found tremendous pace since Magny Cours, and is now substantially faster than Ferrari. They had no answer to Mclaren in either of the two races, and both those tracks were FAST CIRCUITS WHERE FERRARI WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE UPPER HAND. If that doesn't constitute a crisis, I don't know what does. BARRY: If you seriously believe that Massa is a better driver than Raikkonen, then you know absolutely squat about F1.

Can anyone point out a single race in the last two years where Massa has gone wheel-to-wheel with a driver in a similarly fast car and won?? Earlier this year (Bahrain?) he was leading and on a different strategy from Hamilton (who was in 2nd) , and the moment Hamilton caught him, he GAVE HIM THE POSITION. If he had held him for even 2 laps, Kimi would have gotten 2nd instead of 3rd. Even Luca Montezemolo said after the race that he was disappointed with that. Massa is an incompetent driver who doesn't deserve his seat at Ferrari, or any other top team for that matter. He doesn't have the ba||s OR the talent to race wheel-to-wheel. All he can do is win from pole on Tilke tracks.

LH drove a great race but Mclaren have made some SERIOUS upgrades since Magny Cours, and they are MUCH faster than the Ferraris right now. As for Massa, I agree with the consensus on this thread. I have always said he's a mediocre driver, capable only of winning from pole on Tilke tracks, and CANT race wheel-to-wheel with LH, KR, FA, RK, or HK. He continues to prove me right. Kimi had a $h|t race, but his car was handling really badly. He still overtook more cars after the second round of pitstops than anyone else (other than Lewis). Having said that, he needs to really raise his game if he wants to defend his title.

I believe that Nick is a lot better than his results this year have showed. I'm not saying he's better than (or as good as) KR / FA / LH, but he's a very smooth, very skilled racer that is capable of mixing it up with the best of the best when it's his day. I genuinely hope he's managed to sort out his issues with the tyres because he's capable of much better results, but I think two weeks from now, in the dry at in Germany, we'll get a much clearer picture.

Barry... as a courtesy to other posters on this board please try using some basic punctuation, because your post is almost unreadable. Also, your comment makes no sense because you've contradicted yourself in your own post. You first say that "if the rain stopped, then Hamilton's tyres would have faded (since the Mclaren is harder than the Ferrari on its tyres)". You then go on to say that "this would have really given lewis the upper hand". ????? What are you smoking????
