Rus the Bus,

Dennis has confirmed that the team ADVISED LH OF THE RED LIGHT.

He SHOULD have seen the light.
He SHOULD have seen TWO large-as-life F1 cars stopped at the end of the lane.
He SHOULD have listened when his team told him the light was red.
and...
He SHOULD have offered a genuine apology the way KR did to Sutil in Monaco.

But I guess if you call it the way it is on this board, you get accused of being a hater.

CONCLUSIONS AFTER THE FIRST 6 RACES: 1.The Mclarens are closer to the Ferraris than everyone thought. Each car is better on some circuits. 2.Consistency is key. I dont think any of the contenders can afford to have more than two races where they finish out of the points. 3.LH is lucky, because HK's challenge hasnt materialized. Massa is taking points of Kimi, and that is playing into LH's hands. 4.People thought Massa would suck, but the last four races he's been the best performer. (something i hate to admit). 5.Piquet, DC and Nick are all in jeopardy for 2009 unless they REALLY turn it around. Piquet, unfortunately, doesnt seem to have what it takes in F1. ...contd.

Lexington, YOU brought LH to this thread, I didn't. The article AND the thread are both about KR so you mentioning LH is completely pointless. I can't understand why you would do it, other than to start something up here. Please make an effort to stay on point here. I am talking about an unfair backlash to an innocent mistake he made. A stupid mistake, but one without malice. He's a clean driver, and now that dumb sh|t Gascoyne wants to have him suspended. What a joke.

Does anyone think the anti-Kimi sentiment is a little heavy-handed? Yes, he had a bad race. Yes, he lost control under braking and unfortunately hit Sutil. BUT.. he wasn't trying a rash overtaking move. He hit the brakes abt 50 yards behind Sutil, the car went sideways, and he was a passenger from that moment on. He did everything he could to recover the car, but unfortunately on a slick track the car slid into Sutil who was at the apex. It's an unfortunate racing incident, but thats that. EVERY driver made mistakes this race. Alonso made a bonehead move on Heidfeld at the hairpin that could have taken both cars out but no one's complaining.

I agree Kimi had a dreadful race, but there was something really strange about the way that Ferrari lost control. He did everything to regain control, and might have gotten away with it if there was no car in front of him. A real shame for Sutil.

What a friggin pansy. So far this week he's whined about the 'danger', and he's whined about the gap to the Mclarens. Kimi, on the other hand, says he has no problem if it rains, and isn't too worried about the gap to the mclarens because a lot can happen in the race. I hope he puts the car into a wall, or better yet, gets beaten fair and square by the BMWs, Toyota, Renaults and Red Bulls and finishes 10th or something.

fi_machine, This isnt a question of being patriotic or not. Bernie may be brit, but his responsibility is toward F1 as a sport and the millions of fans. The majority of F1 revenues comes not from ticket attendance, but from broadcast sales. Silverstone shouldn't be kept on the calendar because Bernie's brit. It should be there because it's a brilliant circuit, throws up some amazing races, and has history and character.

I have no problem with racetracks in Asia, but NOT at the expense of the euro tracks. Having competition for slots on the calendar is healthy, since it makes everyone improve their facilities, and build better racetracks. But this is just plain greed on Bernie's part. What the little midget doesnt realize is that if he does away with circuits like Spa and Silverstone then F1 will be the loser in the long run because it will drive away a lot of the fans!! People like Bernie and MM need to spend some time lurking on these boards to understand what F1 fans want. Otherwise, F1's going down a path of no return.

Yes, but I went to Mclaren to find a new dad, but it didnt work out with him. Then I tried finding a new dad with Ferrari, but he didn't want me. So I went back to my old dad because I had no other options.

Mark, it was Williams who failed to make the partnership work with BMW. Fran Williams himself admitted this a week or so ago. And as for JV, I dont blame BMW for dumping his sorry a$$. I'm surprise they even brought him on board in the first place.
