Rus the Bus,

Dennis has confirmed that the team ADVISED LH OF THE RED LIGHT.

He SHOULD have seen the light.
He SHOULD have seen TWO large-as-life F1 cars stopped at the end of the lane.
He SHOULD have listened when his team told him the light was red.
and...
He SHOULD have offered a genuine apology the way KR did to Sutil in Monaco.

But I guess if you call it the way it is on this board, you get accused of being a hater.

Quite keen to see what the time are on Fri prac. The ferraris dont like this circuit at all. Anyone know if Ferrari will run the slotted nose here?

Hakkinen was one of the greatest champions ever. To come back from that horrifying crash and then win back to back titles was extraordinary. But a greater tribute to him comes from all the scores of tifosi fans I have known in my life - they all loved him despite his rivalry with Schumacher, and rate him as one of the greatest champs ever. He knew exactly what to do on the track and off it, and his talent was unrivaled. DC on the other hand, will never be one of the great F1 racers. He falls more than a little short.

"I can be quick everywhere." No, sonny boy, you can't. Nice try, though. Raikkonen is going to outclass Massa on the European segment. Spa, Silverstone, Hockenheim, Monza, Valencia. Probably Suzuka as well. (Massa might do well on the new Hockenheim though, considering Tilke has butchered one of the greatest circuits ever and produced another one of his soulless, characterless designs). Monaco and Montreal are going to be pretty interesting. Drivers up and down the pack are going to go aggressive on fuel to grab pole and dictate pace in Monaco. Any predictions?

Unless something goes wrong for him on a particular weekend, Kimi's going to really leave Massa in the dust in Europe. Ourscoring Kimi in the opening third of the season was Massa's best bet, but he blew it with bonehead blunders.

Ian, Massa voluntarily admitted that he comfortably let Hamilton through the moment Hamilton looked like he was making a move. My point is simply this - a more talented driver would have been a little more robust in his defense. I don't think Massa has either the skill or the confidence to hold off drivers like Raikkonen, Alonso, Hamilton, Kubica, or even someone like Heidfeld if they were competing with him in equal machinery. I agree with you that Raikkonen is smoother, but it doesnt end there. He's capable of taking a car that is sub-par and making it punch above it's weight. I really dont think Massa could do that. Massa can drive a great car pretty quick, but that's about it.

Anyone read Domenicali's comment about Massa? He was "disappointed" that Massa let Hamilton by so easily. Turkey has two main overtaking points on the track, and the Ferrari was fast enough to hold Lewis at bay for a couple of laps. If he did, Kimi would have got 2nd. Kimi won't moan about it, though, but what a complete pansy massa is. A one-trick pony who can only win from pole on Tilke circuits. Take him to Spa, and then he's got no puff.

Paulo... kicking his ass left and right? Pardon? Look at the points. Massa only does his talking on antiseptic Tilke circuits. On a driver's circuit like Spa, Kimi has won 3 races back to back. Massa hasn't even won there once. He makes rookie blunders like throwing it away in Sepang when he was under no pressure at all. SIDENOTE: Proof that there's no team orders at Ferrari: If massa had help up hamilton for at least a lap or two (not too difficult) then Kimi would have got 2nd. But complete pansy that he is, he rolled over and let hamilton through.

Bang on, Alan. Domenicali won't ease up till both prizes are in the bag. Yes, they've got 4 victories from 5 races, but that doesn't tell the whole story. One little glitch, one slight tactical error and they would have lost at least one, maybe two or three positions. They may have a slight edge right now, but Macca and BMW are right up there so Ferrari can't even afford the slightest screwup. AND... we're heading to Monaco and Montreal, where Ferrari dont have the best record.

Kimi has always preferred 2-4 laps going heavier in qualifying, and that always affects his quali pace. Going back to his Macca days in 2005, he was almost always fueled heavier than his teammate and both the Renaults. Despite this, he took a ton of poles. I agree with Melanie - Kimi's always preferred the Michelins to the Bridgestones. He can be blindingly quick in the race, but on the short qualy stint he needs to make it work better. Massa may have outdone him 4-1 so far this season, but fuel corrected, Kimi's always set almost the identical time. He needs to be more aggressive with fuel strategy and qualify higher.

In Istanbul the non racing line is much dustier than it is at other tracks. This means that HK and KR and going to have their work cut out for them. Watch out for Kubica in 5th. I wouldnt be surprised if he managed to make a play on the outside of the first corner for 4th or even 3rd. George, I dont think KR is carrying 5 laps more of fuel. 3 at the most, if at all. Anyone think Massa's gonna spin it on Turn 8? He may have gotten pole, but the Maccas are gonna pressure him, and he already spun it a few times in practice.
