Rus the Bus,

Dennis has confirmed that the team ADVISED LH OF THE RED LIGHT.

He SHOULD have seen the light.
He SHOULD have seen TWO large-as-life F1 cars stopped at the end of the lane.
He SHOULD have listened when his team told him the light was red.
and...
He SHOULD have offered a genuine apology the way KR did to Sutil in Monaco.

But I guess if you call it the way it is on this board, you get accused of being a hater.

He was on a fast lap. The holdup not withstanding, he said he made an error on the final turn and couldn't get the speed up. He normally goes a couple of laps heavier than the other front runners. Here's what I hope happens at the start tomorrow - Kovy jumps Massa, and Raikkonen jumps Hamilton. If that happens, then the frontrunners will stay pretty close till the first round of pits. If not, then Massa will gradually pull away while KR is stuck behind the Mclarens, and the race will be over before it began.

Well the good news is that the start''s going to be interesting. Both the Macca drivers are aggressive starters, so I dont think Kimi''s going to be able to get past them at the start - they''ll probably squeeze him. This will play straight into Massa''s hands. If the Ferrari is a tenth or two faster than the Maccas, then he''ll pull away from Kimi while Raikkonen is stcuk in 4th. Webber''s in 6th, and hes a decent starter. So is FA. Pretty interesting grid.

What the hell is Heidfeld doing?? I mean I know he's no superstar, but he's always been pretty quick, and pretty reliable. This whole season though, Kubica's proved that the car can be quick enough to take pole, and even stay in touch with the big four. Nick, on the other hand, has been languishing close to the middle of the pack. He needs to get his act together, and fast. If someone like FA made himself available to BMW, or they were to sign some young gun, it'll be Nick who gets the bum rush to the door if he keeps this up.

Istanbul is going go be VERY interesting. Massa may have won the last two years, but this year, the safety net's gone - no more TC. And with that phenomenal Turn 8, I'm very interested in seeing how he's going to handle a quadruple apex corner without any electronic angels to guide him. Sidenote: I'm not a fan of the Tilke circuits - they're too antiseptic, they have no character. But after the snoozefest of Catalunya, I hope there's some overtaking this time around.

Moss makes it seem like Lewis is perfect, and it''s because of Macca''s deficiencies that he''s third in the rankings. I disagree. By his own admission, Lewis has made some real booboos this year. And I don''t buy the whole wing-falling-off story before he dropped in uninvited on FA in Bahrain, I think his enthusiasm got the better off him and he wasn''t expecting the Renault to be as slow as it was. Still, I think he''s got what it takes to come back strong. Istanbul will be interesting. If he has anther indifferent race, then yes, it''s going to raise some eyebrows.

Now that SA's gone, they're at the back of the grid again. Tough break. I really hope they manage to outpace the Hondas. That would be phenomenal, and would serve that chump Nick Fry right.

What a dumba$$. Ive been a Macca for the last 16 years, but revenge? Revenge for what, exactly? They cheated, they got caught, they got disqualified. End of story. They werent the only team that did it, but they caught, unfortunately for them. Boo hoo. Get on with it, Macca. Do your talking on the track.

Given that Kimi usually doesn't bull$h|t, I guess that he had dialed it back a little bit, but Massa was pushing for all he was worth. KR usually downplays his achievements as well as his pace, so when he says that he could have gone faster, I'm guessing he probably could have gone at least a couple of tenths quicker. If I was Massa and on the back foot this season, I wouldnt have said that. Especially considering my teammate's already said he could have gone quicker if he wanted.

Pat Symonds said on PF1 that he's pretty thrilled because "they're now within 1% of the top teams" . Hello? Pardon? In a lap that takes 1m 30s, that's almost 0.8 seconds PER LAP! They've got some way to go yet. They're still clearly behind the top three. If those guys have a normal race, then the best that Alonso can hope for is 7th, but it's not that simple. Trulli and Webber can't both challenge him for that position.
