Im sorry but F1 is an absolute joke. With the ban on TC making the races a 'little' more interesting, I was just starting to get back into watching it again after being seduced by motorbike in the late 90's.
But for hamilton to only make up 3 places with one of the best cars on the grid is humiliating!!! How can it be fun to watch when there is (at best) 1 or 2 overtakes a race???
Danny prdrosa was fighting for 2nd in the british moto gp from 9th on the grid and lorenzo Got 6th from starting 17th!! And all this from a series that is widely thought of as being spoilt with the advent of traction control.

I realy hope for F1's sake that next years aero changes help. :?

Dice, the only reason all the top rides had gone by the time Byrne signed was because Paul Bird had it written into the contracts that him and Sykes could not talk to any other teams untill very late in the year. As it happended it back fired on Bird because he kept them hanging on about re-signing and GSE couldn't confirm there plans untill late on either because of all the Ducati arguments hence why they lost Haslam and Lavilia. I do rate Byrne, hes obviously clicked well with the Duke. However I completely agree with you over Ducatis manipulation of the rules. No way should they be allowed the make a £25k one off special when all the other manufacturers have £9k bikes! Very unsporting!

Autosport are saying that Lorenzo will miss the race as they are keeping him in hospital for 2 days under observation. He suffered as 'severe concussion'

OK here's a theory for you.... Why doesnt airwaves use the friday and saturday as test sessions to see if the extra weight is ok? If its not then dont race or do if it is ok. I know the point Colin is trying to make is that this is unfair and he/they should have had more notice and consultation, but they have to test at some point and they are already booked in to donnington..?? Ignoring the point that Ducati shouldn't be allowed to race a 1200(which i agree with, it should be 1100!).The rules have been made and agreed by ALL teams, so surely changing the goalposts a few days before the next race is unfair?? I personaly feel sorry for riders, they just ride what they're given!!

Dont they do something like that in F1 John? If they did that in moto gp. Danni pedrosa would be screwed! Lol. Agreed, this is the organisers and rival teams bitching at each other that are spoiling things here. Take a look at the press release on BSB web site. What a load of crap!britishsuperbike.com/article.asp?article=835

....cont.. as it is clear that they are way faster in a straight line than the dukes. They might not keep blowing engines and amass a few more points then!! Personaly I think BSB is pretty poor this year(although the races have been pretty good) the depth of field isnt there and they cannot afford to loose a top team like airwaves. At the end of the day im gutted because all this does is spoil the racing for us fans. I was looking forward to Donnigton as its a realy varied circuit that should lead to a good couple of races. Take 2 of the top bikes off the grid and it will really spoil it. :?

Hmmm, i can see both sides of this. Ducati should NEVER been allowed to up there cc in the first place. The bike is a 1098, so they race a 1098 not some one off special that isnt selling so they are pre-registering the bikes to make it legal! Having said that, the agreed the rules so should stick to them. In BSB as in WSB there has been an element of consistancy involved with byrnes lead. If the others stop falling off it would be a lot closer! So they should penalize him for the mistakes of others. When they wouldnt allow ducati they to run after market parts, ducati said they had to lower the rev ceiling for safety. Maybe the 4 cylinder team should think along the same lines......

Waz I couldn't agree more with your analysis of the fickle blinkered views from alot of people on this board! What happended to being fans of racing? Thought you lot might be interested in a quote from bridgestone about stoners tyre probs: The latter problem has perplexed Bridgestone, who had noticed nothing awry during practice. `Unfortunately, Casey experienced a strange problem with his front tyre after just a few laps, with some unusual degradation, which affected his performance level. It was the same specification front tyre that has enabled him to perform so strongly all weekend, so we will look into this matter very closely with Ducati to determine the cause,´ Ubukata promised

Thats a perfect example of this years champs. Bayliss has a poor weekend with 3rd and a DNF and still increases his lead!! :? Its not that Bayliss is wiping the floor with them its that no one else is able to mount a consistant challenge. Shakey is doing a similar thing in BSB. This needs to be remembered at the season end when everyone starts bleating about ducati 1200 this 1200 that.

I am personaly against all these unjustified slagging off posts of riders from the opposing riders fans. But so far that I can see is that everyone has supported JL for a good ride, but questioned the extent of his injurys from what they have seen on TV and personal/profesional opinions. I cannot see any reason for you call them/us stupid? Surelly to blindly follow is even more stupid??? Dont forget that most of these story's on crash are PR press releases. PR officers are paid to make there riders/teams look good, of course they would never ever exagerate though...... Oh.. and marc i totaly agree!! Nothing personal, just my opinion. :)

Thank you Harryx. I know exactly how I sound and also EXACTLY what it feels like with those sort of injury's. Why do you think that an exageration is totaly out of the question?? That is as irational as saying there isnt any exageration... isnt it?? None of us know for sure. But JL is certainly good at the theatrics. The great thing about these forums is that you can have a healthy debate with various other people from different backgrounds and nationalities. But you cannot have a debate if everyone agree's?! Why should people not appose the press release? Because he got hurt? Is the world turned so PC that nobody can say anything about it without being labeled as 'stupid'??
