That's right... I did. Good of you to acknowledge that fact.

Anyone who can pull over 2 seconds a lap on world class opposition (in the wet) round a circuit he's never seen before, let alone ridden in the wet before can only be considered world class. Sorry but that's a fact. If it had stayed wet, he'd have whooped the lot of em by over 30 seconds, based on his lead at the point he came in for slicks... And that's not world class ? Like f**k its' not...

Only in your opinion... which counts for less than nothing. Besides, I doubt you've ever even spoken 2 words to either of them. They still managed to bag the BSB title and 2 WSBK wildcard wins tho didn't they ? Haven't seen too many others do that since. If Shakey is such a to55er, I doubt Colin Wright would speak too highly of him. Although actually he does. Shut up Fanboy, and take your bu115h1t comments back to the playground. Pr1ck.

So Shakers is talking to Birdy at Kawasaki is he ? I wonder if they know something we don't ? Likely Borcianni's outfit will either have folded by 2010 due to the loss of Sterilgarda as a sponsor or if they do survive will still be skint (cos they lost Sterilgarda) - hence if Shakey stayed put in 2010 he would still be on an underpowered, under-developed Ducati. Maybe the improved results Birdy has had this year, together with Kwaka dropping out of GPs will mean their efforts will be fully focussed on World Supers for 2010. Plus Shakey knows all the tracks now :-) As the original poster says... Could be interesting... Byrne is no fool and nor is Bird !!

Stef and Joe Domingues... Thankyou fellow posters for some much appreciated support for our Shakey. The guy has as much talent as the Haga's, Bayliss's, Biaggi's of this world. On the right bike (an F09) he wipes the floor with the lot of 'em... Lets hope he gets better support from Ducati in 2010.

Yeah, you keep ignoring the facts pal, I would. A 1098RS ain't an F09 - never will be, not even Rossi could make an underdeveloped Privateer 1098RS that is down on revs and is run by a team with no friggin cash into a winning machine. Keep dreaming...

Give him competitive machinery (which a 1098RS that has had ****** all spent on it all year, quite frankly is not) and he will get the results. He's knocking on the door now at 2/3 of the way through the season, so on a factory machine would be up there every weekend. It seems to me that the improved form in the later rounds this year has come as a result of chassis changes and Byrne adapting his riding style (250cc wide corner entry style to maintain speed) which is clearly evident from the Miller round onwards. His lines at Brno were much different to his normal style and the way he was riding in BSB last year i.e. brake hard into the corners and fire out on the power.

Several comments here that sum up what I've been saying all year, and several that are just plain bo11ocks. '...he has not performed on what is a winning bike' - A winning bike ? In who's hands ? The only Ducatis that have won races (as ever) are the Xerox F09's. In the latter part of the season Byrne has done immensely well to achieve the results he has on a 1098RS that (as Chris Walker stated at Donny) is at least 1000rpm down on the F09's. '...Shakey was on the pace in the Winter testing on last years bike and has struggled on this years bike'. Spot on with that one 'Mr ?'. The bloke's hardly going to lose his pace during the 3 month Winter layoff now is he ?

Nobody stuck a rocket up his ****... The rocket has been there all along - just sh1t mechanics in the Sterilgarda garage now getting some steer (and maybe some competitive parts) from Ducati. Shakey would hardly be sandbagging for the first half of the season would he ? (As wouldn't any of them). I'm sure some c0ck like Dale or one of his clueless buddies will soon be on here to correct us and offer some drivel-based explanation as to why Byrne is still not worthy of a ride in WSBK despite knocking on the podium in the last 4 races and now topping the testing time sheets at yet another circuit he's never seen let alone ridden.

Shakey Byrne's a world beater tho ain't he ? Proved it before in WSBK... He can even beat them on an sub-factory spec bike in the wet a-la Misano last week. Haslam wasn't anywhere in that was he ? If it had stayed wet Shakey would have whooped 'em by over 30 secs... World beater on the right machinery...
