1003 agree.
30 disagree.
That's right... I did. Good of you to acknowledge that fact.
Anyone who can pull over 2 seconds a lap on world class opposition (in the wet) round a circuit he's never seen before, let alone ridden in the wet before can only be considered world class. Sorry but that's a fact. If it had stayed wet, he'd have whooped the lot of em by over 30 seconds, based on his lead at the point he came in for slicks... And that's not world class ? Like f**k its' not...

Misano - Superpole qualifying times
7 agree.
5 disagree.
however I believe his performances are on the up since Kyalami where the 'record was severely straightened' and the 'air cleared' with the Sterilgarda team according to reports. We'll see what tomorrow brings, but the guy is certainly no less out of his depth (as people keep claiming) than either Sykes or Haslam.

I'm not criticising where Haslam and Sykes are in terms of race results or points. I was referring to THIS ROUND at Misano and its measurement of who is a world class rider and who isn't. Riding ability isn't just based on what happens for 2 half hour races on a Sunday (albeit that's what everyone remembers and where the dollars are made). Byrne's race results have been under-par for the most part I agree, but that doesn't suddenly relegate him to little better than a club racer in the space of 4 months does it ? He actually has a better quali record than both of them having never been lower than SP2 all year and reaching SP3 3 times. His starts let him down and the bike has too on occasions

Still got to be able to ride as good as the best in the world to qualify up there in the top 5 tho eh ? The criticism has been that he's not world class. Well he's certainly no less world class than Haslam or Sykes - where the f**k were they ? Engine mods or no engine mods...

Camier targeting victorious Snetterton return
1 agrees.
Sykesey better have his sh1t together next week at Donnington, that's all I can say, cos a poor showing against Camier and Ellison at Donny plus another poor one if they are also 'Wildcarding' at say Estoril or Portimao (which GSE are bound to want to do if Donny is a success and they have aspirations of a return to WSB in 2010), and then scraping top 10 for the rest of the season as he has done so far won't do his chances of keeping that factory Yamaha seat too much good. Crutchlow, Laverty, Camier and Ellison to name but a few will all be firmly in the frame. Maybe it would be a good thing if GSE step up again and maybe take Camier and Ellison with them next year...

Sounds more like sour-grapes to me 'Tweed bonces' that your local boy from 'Tweed Bonces' isn't on the bike that Byrne is on. As and when Byrne has been in WSBK for several years, hasn't even sniffed the podium, has finished every season further and further back whilst team mates have been up there at the sharp end, he'll be worthy of some criticism, and not before. Wait for it everyone.... 'Byrne won't last several years in WSBK cos he's a clown, a plum, a pudding, and a fraud...' (despite having won two more WSBK races than MUGgeridge has or ever will). Oh yes, I can hear the monotone drivel being tapped out on a keyboard right now... C*CK.

No, I'm not one STUPID f*cker, I'm a LOYAL f*cker who has been following WSBK for best part of the last 20 years, and have watched Muggeridge underperform consistently for the last 5 years. At one point a few years ago (2005) I believe he was partner to Vermeulen on the Ten-kate Honda. Vermeulen (another former SS Champ) went on that year to challenge Corser for the outright title and then stepped off to MotoGP in '06. Muggers on the other hand failed to even get on the podium in '05 (best finish was 4th all year) and has never graced the podium since, finishing lower and lower each season thereafter. Yes, there might be a gulf in machinery spec between him and Byrne, but whose fault's that?

Shame about the injuries but this guy should cut his losses and do a Sofuoglu and slide back to WSS. He hasn't even got on the podium in 5 years of WSB, has got just 4 points to his name so far this season, has never finished any higher than 11th in a season and since moving to WSB in '05 has basically finished further and further back each season. Yet its Byrne in his first season with 15 times as many points as this bloke that cops all the one-dimensional flack for being cr4p ?? This bloke is a former WSS champion with 11 race wins to his credit and really should be performing a whole lot better than 23rd in the season. At least he'll be consistent in ending up further back than last year.
