MotoGP » Nicky Hayden plays down Ducati's Laguna Seca updates

"JUST ONCE, hear Nicky say what he REALLY thinks?" Nicky manages to express his opinions without trashing his team or employer. He never said everything is great. He was being honest in setting more realistic expectations. That shows a prefessional attitude. You CAN go around trashing the people who support you but you will soon be out of a ride and out of the paddock. Just ask Biaggi. That's just the way it is.

MotoGP » Nicky Hayden plays down Ducati's Laguna Seca updates

This is another reason why I like this guy. He is so down to earth, its like he HAS to tell it the way it is...It's just who he is. He is an optimist and he probably still believes he can win races on the right bike. I don't think he would stay in MOTOGP if he didn't believe that. I agree with the others though. He should give Superbike a try and attempt to become the first to win both WSB and MOTOGP championships. That would cement his place in Moto racing history

MotoGP » 'Huge drop' for Ben Spies after early lead

Jorge did NOT "sit back and conserve his tires" at the start of the race. He got only an average start. He said in his comments that he rode hard and struggled to hold onto the front group at the start. His first 2 to 3 laps mirrored Bens lap times. He then put in a string of fast laps (faster then Ben) to reel in and pass the front group. How is that "sitting back" Ben ran at the front with 3 other riders sitting on his tail so I don't buy that he did anything to "burn up" his tires early (why they went off is up to his team to figure out) He was running the same pace as th front group. He did exactly what he needed. Get out front build confidence and go for it!
