Giancarlo is absolutely right, just as Bernie has said before. But maybe Massa is about on a par with Shamilton at best and Alonso slightly ahead, the pecking order is probably like this: Raikkinen, Kubica, Alonso, Shamilton, Massa.

Yeah a no brainer that Button should be ahead of Bourdais which ever way you look at it, even Sato had the measure of Boudais in these tests in a car Bourdais drove all year only for Buemi to beat him in the last test and Sato also shading him. Now we know Button is in a different league to Sato so if it was a straight choice between Bourdais and Button then I think Button should take the seat. The favoured line-up should be Button and Buemi but if money is what Torro Rosso is after then Sato and Bourdais should get the seats and I think either way Torro Rosso looks healthy for next year.

Er Kowaslski I think you'll find that Alonso beat both Mclarens on merit wet or dry and was a match for the ferrari for most of the race, and even Brundle agrees, the best driver is Alonso and its just a shame he didnt have this improved Renault for the first half of the season, coz if he did we all know it would of been Fernando who's a 3 times world champion.

If it wasn't for some bad luck and Mclaren stitching Alonso up we would be seeing a 3x world champion and probably winning this year's title as well considering the stupid mistakes all the contenders this year is making, Ross is no fool, he's worked with the best driver in Schumacher and his assesment of Alonso is near enough correct just a shame Fernando hasn't had the car to do the damage this year.

Shup up lexington, you think you know it all but you aint even the real man of steele! He deserved the penalty, face it, Massa will win the title and Kimi had the race won until he lost his head.

After Massa got past Shamilton, never once was he all over the back of the Ferrari until the puncture, obviously both drivers went for broke with Massa's engine turned up to the max and Shamilton drove his tyres over the edge trying to keep up with the Ferrari. If this is Shamilton at his best then it's not good enough as we see even when Ferrari's at rock bottom in race trim the Mclaren still struggles to keep up even when car and driver are on top of their game, roll on the rest of the season and also expect the real Raikkonen to return just like 2nd half of last year, Kimi might not be the driver he was in the mid 2000's but when he hook up that car he can still retain the title.

A podium on a circuit where overtaking is near impossible after that qualifying and a poor start is not bad considering his form lately, also the fastest lap of the race. If this is Kimi at rock bottom then we are looking at a driver with great fundamental ability, the championship is not yet Hamilton's by any means.

Hiedfeld''s days are numbered and this will more than likely be his final year with BMW. Maybe the best option for everyone will be for Alonso and Heidfeld to swap seats for 2009 and a Alonso/Kubica combination will be formidable and spearhead BMW''s rise when all the new regulations come into force.

backbeat you are forgetting Schumacher was in a dog of a car for 2 years before he took his first title, Shamilton had the best car last year but him bickering with Alonso denied them both the title! Villeneuve matched Shamilton's achievements in his rookie season and won the title in his second season but no one thinks he's one of the greats so your opinion is a bit flawed! Giancarlo's claims are largely correct apart from Massa, but come to think of it none of these drivers comes even close to Schuey! That man was from a different planet and would of won last year's title and this years if he was still with Ferrari!

Totally agree with Donnie, Shamilton is not the most honest or humble player in the game and he makes me feel sick.
