Giancarlo is absolutely right, just as Bernie has said before. But maybe Massa is about on a par with Shamilton at best and Alonso slightly ahead, the pecking order is probably like this: Raikkinen, Kubica, Alonso, Shamilton, Massa.

Totally agree with chu chu! Took the words right out of my mouth. One thing I like to add is: how much time has Mclaren lost since season compared to their rivals? I reckon about 6 tenths, the exact amount Alonso claimed he brought to the team and so far that theory is right! 2 rookie drivers doesn't have the technical knowledge of someone like a Alonso or Schumacher, so maybe Alonso was right about his 6 tenths and also Renault have turned a page since the start of the season, looks like a Renault might tangle with a Mclaren again this weekend, no guessing which cars ;) And Chris B stfu! you really haven't got a clue have you!

What is the point of him going around slowly around the oval? If they really want to show us the performance of these bikes why don't he just do a few laps flat out? But obviously the Moto GP bikes are no match for the indy cars around the oval or a road circuit for that matter! Pointless.

I never said Shamilton was going to be out side of the top 10 but you can bet even if he starts on pole the Ferrari's will have too much race pace for Shamilton to handle, and Kovalainen 16th was sue to a technical hitch and he onlt completed 8 laps to Shamilton's 33 laps. Mclaren would do well to get on the podium this weekend, Renault should be back in the points at least with Alonso.

I insisted Mclaren won't win in Barcelona and so far it seems like it is the case! 11th after the 2nd free practice for Shamilton looks like the team is struggling to match the Ferrari for pace and with Ferrari on a fresh engine this week I think it will be another Ferrari 1-2 with Raikkonen having the edge! This is a damage limitation exercise for Shamilton rather than taking the fight to Ferrari this weekend and if anyone who don't agree with this assesment are dillusional.

Give it a break will you! He's trying to difuse the tension between the 2 rivals and it's only healthy for the sport, we don't need them 2 to run into each other every race, and whats wrong with Alonso wanting a good car to drive? Although maybe Ferrari is not suitable next year, BMW would be wise to sign up Alonso if they can get a winning car.

I think 7 victory and overhauling a 17 point defecit in the last 2 race is good as a come back as there there ever has been but hey who's counting. Kimi will win this year's title alot easier than last year's thats for sure.

Interesting to see his prediction in that Kovy will finish ahead of Shamilton, even the british pundits have lost some faith in their beloved Shamilton. But his prediction on Kimi winning seems a safe bet, McCack''s got their work cut out in Spain.
