Many people don't realize how many gp races in the premiere class Biaggi has won (13 I think) and were it not for another highly talented Italian rider he would have won many more. Is he as good as Rossi? Emphatically NO. Can he beat anyone on the planet an a given day? Absolutly. That fact makes it good for the fans to have him there, love him or hate him. Just my 2 cents. Peace. :)

Obviously luck plays a part, I never said it didn't. I'm also not making any one crash larger than any other.

If I can't bring up Pedrosa taking out Nicky why can you bring up other riders mechanical failure or crashes? Is it because it doesn't help YOU make YOUR point? Luck is a big part of racing. He was consistent all season long as well as the season before when he finished 3rd behind Melandri by 1 point (I think it was 1 point I'm not sure about that)

cont' Nicky might not ever appear at the sharp end of the grid again (I hope he does) I think the 990's suited him more than the 800's Life changes, deal with it. As far as whether he deserves a title or not... It doesn't matter you either win or you don't and he WON.

I'm absolutly not making any excuses for him not winning. You either win or you don't. All I was pointing out was that he was good enough to beat everyone on the grid (aside from Rossi) 5 times in 2006. 2 wins and 3 seconds. Don't even look at the 3rd place finishes. Did other riders have some bad luck? Sure. Many people on the forum who like to bring up the other riders bad luck never seem to mention him having any bad luck in 2006. Your team mate taking you out in the race before the season finale isn't exactly the most fortunate happening in his career right? My point by bringing up Biaggi was look at how he would now be remembered if Rossi would never have appeared on the scene.

TJ, I believe you will find that I am accurate when I point out that Hayden finished 2nd to Rossi 3 times in 2006, only God knows how many times Biaggi finished 2nd behind him (Rossi). I'm sure you can look back thru all the references to Puig and not find any comment made by me saying he or anyone else was an a$$ or any other unflattering adjective. I'm not a Dani Pedrosa fan but I'm man enough to admit he's a very talented rider. In my opinion Mr. Puig isn't important enough to get upset about.

Cheap shot... hmmm, Sounds like he called a spade a spade to me. As well were it not for the best rider motorcycle racing has seen he would have had 3 more victories in 2006. Rossi just keeps getting in other good riders way! Ask Biaggi how many more victories Rossi kept him from achieving.

I know you either love or hate Biaggi (I happen to be a fan of his), but I think its rediculous to question his talent or the fact that he would be more suited to the 800 cc machine the same as Hayden is more suited to the larger 1000 cc machine. The fact that Biaggi has 4 250cc championships makes him at least twice the rider Pedrosa is already doesn't it? :-o :p :D
