#3 Of course Hamilton and Rosberg should be penalised - the both did the same thing, that is cause an accident that was completely avoidable. The difference between this and Kimi at Monaco was the safety car was out here. All the drivers are expected to be more cautious under the safety car, that's why it's there. Whether it should have been deployed or not doesn't matter. Hamilton and Rosberg clearly were not cautious enough, punich them both.

I don't think Branson is guilty of jumping on the bandwagon now that Brawn are going quick - when interviewed on the BBC he did mention that he was negotiating this weeks ago.

The four Stigs are actually part time jobs for the following fictional characters: Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy, The Easter Bunny and Jensen Button.

The nose reminds me of the WIlliams "Walrus" shape of a few years ago when Montoya/Ralf were driving.

It is a nice colour scheme, although WIlliams have used this in the past for the launch of their cars, it'll probably change by the time the season starts.

@ Sunny: I think the reason you get all the same people waiting to buy up teams that go under is because that's the cheapest way to get into F1 - Bernie demand millions from teams just to get on the grid. Buying up an established team and it's facilities is far cheaper!

Dismayed F1 Fan - "Doesn't this logic suggest anything goes as long as there wasn't a crash?" Now your just being stoo-pid. I was just trying to compare today's incident to countless others as I described earlier with side-by-side cars in the pit lane. None of them crashed, none of them (although still being dangerous near-misses) were ever punished. There has been only one recent pit-lane incident that was punished, and funnily enough it involved a crash. Can't quite remember any of the other details though . . .

The fuss over this is both predictable and pointless - not that that's going to stop me posting! The danger issue here is amplified by the fact that the pit lane is so narrow at Valencia and Ferrari's pit box was right at the end of the pit lane, giving them even less room to manoeuvre. I recall several other tracks with two-lanes in the pits where we have seen cars side-by-side coming out of pit-stops, with NO CRASHES and NO PUNISHMENTS. The lack of space at Valencia is what made it LOOK so dangerous, but as there was NO CRASH, so there should be NO PUNISHMENT! Well, maybe a fine!

Ferrari became unpopular due to a certain Mr Schumacher dominating F1 and getting all the help going to do so - clearly no.1 in the team, his teammates asked to move over for him (Austria), blatant attempts at cheating (swiping into JV), etc, etc. However, they have had there fair share of penalties too - the team orders fuss and the parking incident at Monaco spring to mind. Yeah Ferarri were poor for years before they got the best driver, the best team and the best car and then started dominating. Enjoy it while it lasts Ferrari fans - non-fans continue hating them all you want, eventually they will start to lose regularly regardless of FIA rules

This is a joke. This is clearly on a par (if not worse) than the "Team Orders" fiasco F1 suffered under Schumi/Barrichelo. Imagine if a situation like this arose at an F1 race - there would be outrage. The FIA needs to sort this out soon, otherwise the championship could be decided by how slow your dare go on day 1 rather than how fast you are over a full rally.
