well, well, well...

Ferrari win again with the help of the FIA.

But of course there is no concerted effort to make sure Ferrari win the championship. And of course the theory that the FIA don''t want to see a black man be World Champion is totally ludicrous.

Sure!

Oh dear bro you messed up there  I'm sure 2Pac knows what class Bradley Smith is in, he just gets carried away sometimes, poor thing lol. He normally pops around here on his way back home so he can show off his bike to the neighbors lol, so I'll be sure to tell him :)

I don't understand why the administrators of the sport are publically coming out in support of one particular team? Like diamond posted earlier it's very unprofessional in my opinion. I wish they would just keep their opinions to themselves then there would be less impression of bias in their rule and decision making.

I thought that all the talk of the cars being 'ugly' was a little over the top to be honest and I'm happy to have been proven right on this occasion (well the cars are not ugly in my opinion anyway). Saying that as someone has already mentioned I think we will all be surprised at how much all the cars will change in apperance between now and the first race of the season. Also all this talk about front wings flying everywhere each race do the drivers a bit of a diservice. these are the best drivers in the world and I'm sure they will take into account the dimensions of the new cars, especially the front wings.

Come on Guppy be fair, the technical information stolen from Ferrari had nothing to do with the Kers system. From what I remember reading at the time it was to do with some Aero advances that Ferrari had made.

Maybe not Oli but if you think about Franco Alonso is considered by most 'experts' to be one of the finest F1 drivers of his generation and I would have to go along with that opinion. So you have to ask the question if he is such a good driver and obviously a very ambitious one who wants to win more world championships why is he at Regie? Why isn't he being flooded with offers from any of the front running teams who realistically have the ability to provide a package capable of taking a driver to the world championship? I know he has a contract with Regie, but we've all seen in the past if the will (and money) is there then contracts can be 'broken'. So what are these teams afraid of?

I think a very fair assessment of the season. Nice to hear a professional echo my thoughts on Franco Alonso, great driver, not a great person. look forward to part 2.

Potentially Kers should aid deceleration and braking and provides a 'power boost' during periods of acceleration. It looks good for McLaren at the moment but there is a weight penalty to be paid so we'll have to wait and see how much of a performance advantage McLaren can squeeze out of the system. I wonder if Ferrari are throwing up a smoke screen and are not so far behind with their Kers development as they would like us to think? I only raise the possibility because it's not like Ferrari to 'drop the ball' like they appear to be doing in this case.

Ellen, the company that employs me as a consultant is involved in the design, manufacture and integration of engine, transmission and chassis testing for a number of F1 companies, those involved in other motor sport formula and mass production vehicles. I have no idea why you've decided to interrupt this debate but if you have something to contribute please do so. It's very easy to dismiss another's opinion/knowledge but offer none of your own. Do you have any knowledge on this subject? Anytime you wish to debate the workings/technical innovations of engine valve-train technology I will be happy to debate with you. Perhaps you should post your knowledge Ellen so we can start the debate?
