well, well, well...
Ferrari win again with the help of the FIA.
But of course there is no concerted effort to make sure Ferrari win the championship. And of course the theory that the FIA don''t want to see a black man be World Champion is totally ludicrous.
Sure!

Honda confirms F1 withdrawal.
2 agree.
2 disagree.
Very sad news regarding Honda Racing F1, I feel so sorry for the guys that work there, some of whom I know personally, and with it happening just before Christmas makes it even harder to take. Nobody want's this kind of job insecurity in the run up to Christmas. My fear is that this may be the first of a few companies, that in the current world financial crisis, may be looking to cut costs and decide that racing activities are not an essential part of their business. Shame for Jenson and Rubens but unlike the majority of the employees at HR-F1 they are financially secure for life so they'll be OK.

VIDEO: Ultimate GP circuit - according to Lewis.
2 agree.
As Laguna hasn't been on the F1 calender for a while he can hardly select the corkscrew as one of his favs. The other thing is that although a corner may look fantastic from a spectators point of view doesn't mean that it is a challenging corner from the drivers viewpoint. I'm always surprised that nobody has actually built a track based on the best parts from existing tracks instead of these boring Tilke design tracks that produce boring races and no spectacle.

Santander confirm Ferrari deal, chasing Alonso.
2 agree.
2 disagree.
The day Franco Alonso goes to Ferrari will be a very sad day. A great marque like Ferrari should have more consideration for its history, prestige and world-wide reputation. As for the “best driver in the world” quote, I wouldn’t dignify it with a response!!! Prize for spoilt Prima-donna whining B1tch... Hell yeah he wins that one hands down.

Rossi edges Pedrosa as 2008 ends.
1 agrees.
9 disagree.
Firstly I think that it will be Yamaha who decide if the partition is to be removed or not. I don't think Vale would care one way or the other, he for sure didn't have any problem sharing data with Colin a few years back and they became good friends. I do think it's a little strange that Yam want to keep the riders apart. I can't see the logic behind it at all.

Webber injured in road accident.
2 agree.
With regard to nancy cooks comments I would say that generally speaking a broken leg isn't a serious injury in as much as it's not a life threatening injury BUT for a professional sports person it is a serious injury in that it can threaten a sports persons career. I think most would agree that someone’s life is more important than their career so let’s not trivialise real life threatening injuries by going overboard and calling this “serious”.

echo everyones thoughts on this... very best wishes to mark and i hope he has a speedy recovery. glad to hear that the injury doesn't appear to be that serious, only a broken leg that required pining. look forward to seeing him on the grid at the start of the season.

Ferrari president: KERS in 2009 'a mistake'.
1 agrees.
In answer to Mark_'s post my understanding of the ultimate aim of the KERS technology is that when it is developed to the point where it is making the cars significantly quicker the engine regulations will be changed to reduce output therefore you will end up with a power output equal to a non-KERS car but more fuel efficient becuase of the KERS system. Hope i explained that well enough so it made sense!!!! lol

Ferrari president: KERS in 2009 'a mistake'.

Finnish Fan... I am working on F1 KERS systems. Skally... you are correct in your description of how KERS works but i think the safety concerns have been overstated. The cars have grounding strips and the cells (for the electrical based system) will be encased in insulating, impact absorbant material. i do worry about the mechanical based system that employs a flywheel to store energy. in the event of a failure you have high mass, high velocity material flying around! :-( what has to be remembered is potentially KERS will result in a performance improvement because the engine will be assisted during acceleration & deceleration so it doesn't result in slower cars but faster lap times.

Hamilton: Racist attacks were no 'joke'.
1 disagrees.
as for the ass that posted about, "hamilton stabbing alonso in the back" when did he do that?? all i saw was a young guy who went out to win and wasn't prepare to bow down to someone on the strength of their reputation. when it came down to it the two were very, very close in performance on the track and that's what counts. reputation is history, what's happening in the present is what's important. and then the same tosser states, "no wonder the spanish are upset." mate you are beyond contempt.

Hamilton: Racist attacks were no 'joke'.
1 agrees.
All these apologists for the spanish fans make me want to vomit. who cares about "understanding the spanish culture", their actions were racist simple and plain. this is the same country who wants to host a future Olympic games where the majority of athletes will be non-white... I wouldn't allow them to host a tidily wink competition if i had my way. any hint of racism has to be stamped out immediately and for someone to trivialise it as "a bit of a joke" is deplorable. Anyone who sees it and says nothing is culpable: that’s why i have no respect for Alonso as a person instead of condemning his fellow countryman he condoned their actions with his silence. (con't...)
